I am introducing a Resolution at Washington City Council to declare June 2026 as Nuclear Family Month in our city.

It is a simple statement of support for the moms and dads raising the next generation of this town as ordained by God — nothing more, nothing less.

No funding attached. No regulation. Just public recognition and future support for the families doing the most important work in Washington.

Decades of research from the U.S. Census Bureau, the Brookings Institution, and the Institute for Family Studies all reach the same conclusion: when families are stable, kids do better. They graduate at higher rates. They escape poverty more often. They live healthier, fuller lives.

We recognize a lot of things at City Hall throughout the year. A month for the families holding it all together is right.

I have requested a roll-call vote — every council member on the record. Because the people of Washington deserve to know exactly where their elected leaders stand on supporting families.

If you stand with the traditional family:

    Strong families build strong communities.

    Davis statement:

Hoping this resolution passes next Monday supporting the God-ordained nuclear family structure in Washington! The degradation of the family is the origin of so many of our problems.

Jesus (the Biblical One, not the cultural one), in Matthew, affirmed the way family was created to have the best possible success through marriage — two opposite sexes that God created, one husband, one wife, and children coming out of that union, if possible.

"And He answered and said to them, 'Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning made them male and female, and said, For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.'" — Matthew 19:4-6

🌈 = God's covenantal promise to never flood the earth again. (Genesis 9:12-17)
