Are schools an "indoctrination machine" for socialism? | Eastern NC Now

Polls are showing American parents are increasingly concerned by political indoctrination in the classroom.  A  mu;ti-national poll by a major French polling firm on the top concerns of parents about education found that the top concern of American parents is political and ideological bias in the classroom.,  Here in North Carolina. the Civitas poll found that a clear majority of NC parents are concerned about political indoctrination in the classroom.

With a recent Gallup poll finding that 65% of Democrats have a positive view of socialism and only35% had a positive view of free enterprise / capitalism, we need to look at the forces pushing some Americans to support socialism.  A recent article suggests that the problem is our public schools becoming "an indoctrination machine for socialism"/

Parents should keep a close eye on cur curriculum in our public schools.  , In Beaufort County, parents turned out to a standing room only level to protest a liberal social studies curriculum proposed by a teachers committee.  The school board heard the message and stopped the adoption of that curriculum.
