It is amazing how difficult it is to represent the people against the establishment. I have been harassed in a many ways during the hospital fight including having dead animals left at my home and business.

At the Beaufort County Commissioners on July 7, 2014, Mayor Adam O'Neal promised to walk to Washington, DC to seek relief from the Federal government to keep Belhaven's hospital open with a fully functional emergency room and a 10 bed facility.

It was all over before 8:00 pm at the Beaufort County Board of Election. With an anemically low turnout, and the new and improved equipment for processing votes, the Beaufort County Board of Elections finished up in time where one could still make their supper date, get home and watch prime time.
