Or at least an attempt at humor. Locals always get a kick out of a non-native when they mispronounce places or people names. Despite the fact that there is a whole system of symbols and codes to help the unlearned among us, many people continue to mispronounce words based on reading only.

Everyone sometime or another feels the need to display a symbol but it may not convey what they want it to. It could offend others and that would be bad, very bad

More than perhaps any other public facility the Legislative Building and Capitol are symbols of our government at work. While everyone owns them, no person or group has permanent rights to them.
