Hood: I was most confused as to why the School Administration, in tandem with the Center-Left /Left Coalition of the Beaufort County Commission, thought it wise to waste 1/2 million of the public's money for land that could have been purchased by a mere trade of 4 acres for City of Washington land of 4 acres county land.

Of course, if the school administration had been rudimentary wise enough to order a title search for that land they did not own, none of this would have been an issue.

Concerned Taxpayer: Ditto. Especially the scene of Toto as hero.

The administration of our public schools is a clustered mess, to state it in the kindest of terms.

Van Zant: I hate being this pessimistic of human nature, but the mendacity of this Leftist bent of bureaucrats, and local politicians is readily apparent for those wise enough to discern what is real.

I may sound like a pessimist, but I am optimistic enough as a politician to do all I can to stop it. One task in my efforts to end this terrible construct of terrible Leftist behavior is informing the unbelieving that it actually does exist.

Van Zant: The hypothesis is that Democratic Socialists and dim witted RINOs, controlled by life long Democratic Socialists bureaucrats, are working together, hand-in-glove, to end community schools through consolidation to regain control of the indoctrination method which is the core of Marxist Central Planning. Central Planning's program of blanket indoctrination of school age children is to regain control of what few young minds that will be left after School Choice eventually blossoms into an Education Renaissance.

This hypothesis must be the purpose and reason since the public's money is surely not being saved through consolidation; NO economy of scale whatsoever.

Deportations are important for many reasons, not least of which is why the Democratic Socialists, enabled by their Non Patriot Leftist Shock Troops, invited, then welcome their planned invasion of our wide open Southern Border.

These Leftist hustlers blamed it on Black people not being smart enough to obtain a photo ID; even filed lawsuits to that effect; however, Non Patriot Leftists lying about the intelligence level of Black folks was just a ruse. These lying Leftists wanted to end photo ID so they could vote radical Illegals; it had nothing to do with Black folks; they were just their convenient pawns.

If I was a self respecting Black person, I would never vote ever again for a Democratic Socialist, who would possess the timerety to load me and others like me, in some convenient RACIST box for their political expendiance.

Smart Comment Steve, and you are right about how this sorry business was conducted by the hamfisted school board of Beaufort County, who cannot seem to get into any lane where smart decisions exist.

Also Steve, you referenced districts being important for board members operating with cognitive blinders, when simple decisions could be made more effortlessly otherwise if a board member represented more than the concerns of one district.

This is why I will NEVER support districts for a county commissioner here in Beaufort County. It is hard enough for some of the commissioners I have served with to think through simple decisions, where the added boxed thought of districts would make their decisions even more tenuously considered.

Concerned Taxpayer | Van Zant: This is the problem with the School Board here in Beaufort County: They do not think important issues through, not in the least bit, which leaves this current board in a constant state of bewilderment when it comes to most decisions, especially when it concerns "thinking outside of the box."

When I spoke to the crowd at S.W. Snowden, and the school board members who were mixed within the crowd in a rather inconspicuous manner, I stressed in an off-the-cuff manner of a rather off-the-cuff idea (one which I came up with , right on the spot) of the county buying back (at market value) Snowden and marketing to those who would develop a charter school or a private school right there in Aurora.

Since coming up with that idea of what to do with all surplus school buildings here in Beaufort County - there will be two more surplus buildings here in the City of Washington soon - I would argue that we take my plan for S.W. Snowden to entice competitive education resources to consider at all surplussed public school buildings, here in beaufort County, for the development of a charter school or a private school right there in all of Beaufort County.

Conservative Voter: The thing about being elected is that one never knows what will occur, i.e., the Covid epidemic, and the resultant insanity on how it was mishandled by elected officials.

At some point there is a high water mark that results in an impasse, where politicians or the public rebel and move in one assertive direction or another. Then there is yet another avenue ...

Elect smart, experienced Good citizens that question bureaucratic orthodoxy, not because that orthodoxy is in their way, but because some folks are better at figuring stuff out than others, the smarter electorate elected those smarter politicians, and not the other way around, and everyone wins.

And then there is my tried and true adage that I believe in to my core: Good governing is NOT rocket science.
