Commented on Slander Has a Magnificently Short Half-lifeYou may me right, however ...
As a competitive athlete, I never did much talking, disturbed my concentration too much. Instead, when I dealt with the talkers, I just played tougher defense in basketball, and in football, I tried to get a good solid hit in when they least expected it. There was a certain growl effect that left them groveling for breath or worse. Now, when dealing dishonorable people, and people in general, I just always tell the truth, and I database everything in an extremely manageable, and efficient manner. Actually, that is a big part of what I sell.

Commented on "America is 'War Weary'"I'm not here to defend George W. Bush. President Bush made too many mistakes, which I chronicled here in BCN; however, he did work as a president, not play.
Where the whole: Who took the most vacations(?) argument is so disingenuous is that Bush, the younger, predominately took his "vacations" in Plains, Texas - his home. The better question between the two presidents should be: Who played the most golf, where the government literally takes over most golf course (How much does that cost); and who played politics the most - campaigning rather than working? I think that would better serve to project a more accurate picture between the two men.

Commented on Slander Has a Magnificently Short Half-lifeIt's not that I know hate; Hate is a big word.
What I know all too well is stupid. I see egregious stupidity quite often, every day, and often I feel compelled to call it out. Washington's "Three Stooges" are a great symbol faux Republicans locally, and they need to be exposed before they do anymore damage to the public, and what is left of the Republican brand. Their lies, and rumors of lies are more a product of stupidity not hate. Where I feel stupid is ever trying to help any of them get elected, and for that I apologize to the electorate at large. Once, I finally figured out their pathetic intentions were completely dishonorable, I pulled back the help. Two years later, they go after me. In this post, I made a promise. It is a promise I intend to keep.

Commented on "America is 'War Weary'"The Hell of it is that when the Amateur President is finished vacationing on the people's, and there is a real president back in the White House - a Republican president - I predict that we will get hit again by terrorist, just like last time when Clinton did not kill bin Laden when he had the chance.
That was an error in Clinton's judgement, just like lying (in a very big way) in a deposit, and having multiple affairs on the public's dime. Amateur Obama's error in judgement has been about everything. Because of his utter indecision, it took him over 100 days to pull the trigger to kill bin Laden once they knew where he lived. The next terrorist attack will be Candidate Obama's fault, and it will come sooner than many American's think.

Commented on Slander Has a Magnificently Short Half-lifeThat is very true, hence the correct descriptor of the group: "The Three Stooges".
However, I reckon I should have described my position better, and referred to those that seek the WSG's "consultation" as egregiously stupid, or ... quantifiablely stupid, or, simply, momentarily brain dead ... maybe politically vegetative. These are not words of condescension, because, I too have helped two of these "Stooges" to further their political careers. Now, I will exist on a 180 degree vector from that misapplication of valuable resources - time I will never get back; however, I am in a fine position to rectify that personal naivete, should I be called to do so.

I'm fine with them, as long as they stay out of politics; they've done too much damage, left too long of a (well) recorded trail. They are not fit to serve as politicians, without me giving them the well-honed reverb loop that lays in abeyance, ready. For the sad politicians that hire them, I will leave them alone until they do something stupid, and then they will be part of the hunt, the partial prey

Commented on Too many bullies, not enough servantsTo Gene: This author was from the Beaufort Observer, so that can be about two folks, Delma or Buzz or both. Bullies like the Gang of Four do not compromise.
To Charles: Ray Leary, huh. Well, tell Ray good post. It and the comments inspired me to write one that needed to come out. There is no way that these 'Stooges' will exist in my world, and I will severely question anyone that takes them seriously after what we know from their most recent deeds. These are serious times, and these are men without honor or integrity.

Commented on Too many bullies, not enough servantsBullies come from many stripes. What I have found, after extensive experience of existing around bullies for decades, is that they are often mislabeled as the 'it' people, those that seek to control their environment. They crave authority when they are the least deserving to administer it.
I have never been a bully because I never try to control my environment; I endeavor to let others strive to their strengths, and I nudge them a bit in a positive direction. Often it works, sometimes not so much; however, I do have fairly creative children, and what we do at SNI, I would stack up against any small tech firm in eastern NC, or any small assemblage of artists/craftsmen in this region, for that matter, in terms of creating something that others can use, where we can all create excellent communication of ideas with so many others. That is the essence of good art - communicating well, and allowing many others to do the same to the benefit of those who thirst for real knowledge. No bullying here; never have, never will. Just the exchange of ideas on the most complete, most competent platform in eastern North Carolina.

When one serves with Liberals and RINOs, which Beaufort County is regarded very near the top per capita from across the state, one tends to know intrinsic things like I previously mentioned.
Things happen for a reason, therefore government is important for there will always be an effect from every causation. I've recognized the cause, which I succinctly explained earlier; the nation and this county will now feel the effect.

Well, now Conservative v Liberal is more a perception of truth over fantasy; knowing math over not knowing math, and knowing the world for what it really is, rather than the way you wish it to be.
Anyway, if Liberals were such thoughtful executors: Why would women's reproductive rights, above all else, be their one issue?

My impression from years of observation:
Liberals: feel rather than think; they accept pre-planned thinking constructs readily, they tend to look at the world outside of any historical context; and at no point do they do any math. One more point: They believe the constitution to be a flexible document that can be used as a tool by activist judges, i.e. Roe v. Wade. Conservatives (real): Tend to be guided by principled motives, can do math very well, and believe that the constitution is a guide for all current and future governing. One other pertinent fact: Getting Conservatives on the same page on any issue, that is not based in pure Conservative principles, is 'like herding cats'.

We 'are a nation of laws, not of Men.'
It was part of the Jaycee Creed, and I never fully knew what it meant until I became a county commissioner, and learned to govern by real principles, and the laws, as imperfect as some may be, that bind all of us. I think that is why I have always been so offended by RINOs like McRoy and Klemm. They made up the rules as they went along.

Commented on Would Jesus Carry a Gun??? Part IAs you and I have discussed, and both agree, the Holy Spirit is slowly dying in our nation, and at quickened pace throughout the world.
I have also told you that BCN, as maybe the first 'Moderated Informational Platform', intends to be that platform to all well intended contributors, such as yourself, who wish to spread their discussion as far as they can, and as long as they as they are able. The word of our Lord is a fine word to spread, and I pray it will become a big part of our County NOWs. BCN is Social, and can do much of what Facebook does, except we do not have their magnificent readership base; however ... What we do that they can't, or won't do, and what we can do is: we are geocentric; we are moderated - no bragging about babies and pets on a daily basis; we can associate and delineate by categories and rather quickly by process; and we never take your post down, which Facebook does eventually. We, and your words, hope to exist for perpetuity ... to contribute a difference for our God's World, as long as it exists, as per His wishes. BCN will endeavor to do what no one else does, no online newspapers, e-magazines, twitter or Facebook. We have developed the technology and we intend to use it for the betterment of all.

Commented on Beaufort County Commissioners Approve the Search for Alternate Secondary Financing for Southwest County JailRemarkably, Charles, I am discovering that this mattered to some of the folks who don't pay attention, or maybe just aren't competent at cogent thought, but there was a narrative afoot that Commissioner Conduct was the fault of the Democrats and the RINOs not being being able to make the proper choices at voting time.
That is why the Dority, Ashley Woolard, and what is that other stooge's name(?) did the hit pieces on me that they did. They were going after the stupid vote, and there must have been a lot of it. I have a 'chicken or the egg question': Which came first, the stupid vote, or the the three stooges of Beaufort County politics: Greg Dority, Ashley Woolard, or the other stooge nurturing the stupid vote to the point of a cataclysm of babbling "Idiocracy": www.youtube.com

Guns, especially rifles, are an American symbol of liberty. We have won so many wars because of our soldiers ability to aim small and shoot straight. They learned this skill as young men and women, owning their own firearms, and knowing that the firearm is just another tool. A tool well intertwined in the history of this once great nation.

Commented on Beaufort County Commissioners Approve the Search for Alternate Secondary Financing for Southwest County JailWell, when you have four commissioners who only listen to some other voice other than the one I hear, they pretty much what they want to do, when and where they want to do it, and contrary to the talking points of the stupids (those that wag their tongues far too often, with very to wag about), with far too little to do, and way too much time on their hands: This is, and has never been mine and Hood's fault.
Just the opposite. We have been on the right side, and historic amount, of so many votes. Accordingly, I will hate to pay higher taxes, but I will be very happy for all those that have long voted for Jay McRoy, Al Klemm, Jerry Langley, Robert Belcher, Robert Cayton, Ed Booth, and so many more incompetents to pay up. It is these taxpayers government that they do so well deserve. When I hear their plaintiff whining, and Liberals and RINOs do whine at some point, I will have a fine chuckle. Still, it won't be a good enough chuckle to assuage my paying of the higher taxes - almost though.

In this fourth from the last meeting before I permanently step down as a county commissioner, a lesson was taught to me: Since I will not be afforded a "personal point of privilege", by King Chairman Langley, to refute slander against my good name, I will ask to be included in the Comment period, and, furthermore, to be allowed the last position to refute any lies against my character during that period heretofore.
In this August 4th general meeting, in this night's Comment section, I was untruthfully accused of doing, and saying things that were untrue, and since our meetings are recorded, I have evidence that this was a false accusation. The false accusations were proffered by Kathy Vasquez, which is becoming a standard operating practice for her. Her untruthful comments began against me, and then she moved on to discussing Commissioner Hood Richardson's peccadilloes of her choosing. When asked about that, Hood told me that nothing she said was true against him as well. It was if she was more concerned about racking up "brownie" points with folks that tend to appreciate false commentary, rather than making a pertinent point of any significance. As someone who always tells the truth, especially to make an important point, I found her commentary patently dishonest, and her behavior abjectly dishonorable. Since I was not afforded a "personal point of privilege", by King Chairman Langley, to refute the dishonesty of her comments, I will request that I be afforded the same comment privilege, at the conclusion of each comment period, to specifically refute the dishonesty of others made against my true and honest character. In my first Comment, at the September meeting, I will advise the commissioners and the public of my firm intent.

Commented on Short Session Resembles Family FightWise Conservatives believe in using everything that works, and use whatever technology is available to keep it safe.
Qualified Liberals worship at the alter of "Green Jobs", "Save the Planet", and then they turned the stimulus package into a slush-fund for their Democrats, and the rest of us fund over a half a billion taxpayer dollars wasted on Solyndra, and other taxpayer money wasted on other Democrat projects. This is how idiots like Obama become president and stay president. When I was in DC at a legislative conference, back in 2009, all we heard from Obama's bureaucratic minions is that "Green Jobs" equated National Security. Now after Solyndra, and others, Obama's EPA destroying the clean coal industry as per his direction, the world is the most dangerous it has been since Reagan was so instrumental in ending the Cold War. I knew all that 'National Security' bunk was FUBAR then, and the extraordinary FUBAR of demonstrative idiots now. This is the truth of it ... not the way I just happen to see it, but the absolute truth of it. This is the difference between wisdom, and relative opinion, which usually degenerates into complete, abject stupidity, and in less than a decade for the these Liberals. 2009 was not too long ago.

Commented on The Board of Commissioners' Clown Car rolls onGene,
I get it. I got it. I've actually had it quite well for some time. And very soon, I will be gone ... for good as a county commissioner. Charles, Thanks man. It was because of guys like you and Velma that I did this. And once again, as if you did not know this already: Thanks for all you did fronting the party, and thank-you for all that you did to help me, and, therefore, my constituents all these years. You remember when the Washington Daily News wrote that hit-piece on me, on the issue of constituency, when the WDN was front-running to help give away our county hospital to UHS, now Vidant. I felt that I was in another world that I so well understood constituency, and the WDN did not, which translated to so many of their readers being, once again, so terribly misinformed. The WDN really has a hard time thinking their way out of a 'wet paper bag', and sadly, so do most of their ardent readers, who certainly won't read what I am writing now. I won't miss that level of stupidity directed at me as a commissioner. I can promise you that. As a businessman and being part of the creation team here here at SNI, I don't have to do business with people that despise me because I am a Conservative, or just that I don't hate Hood. I can always just work with their competition, and give them the superior product, and for less money since our products are so far superior to our local, and regional competition. This will be fun, and this game is just nigh of beginning.

Commented on Short Session Resembles Family FightI'm sure someone knows what chemicals are used, if any.
It is not as if that all this fracturing of shale to unlock the oil is done in secrecy. I have an idea: Maybe some environmental zealot, who is a chemist, should pose as a worker, of some station, and discover what needs to be known to thoroughly debunk the fracturing of shale. Then it can all be published in the liberal media (there is more than enough of that entity to go around), and then the EPA bureaucrats, can misinterpret the law, and shut it all down. Kind of like what they are doing now to the clean coal industry. I'm here to help ... even the Liberals

DINO's kept me in office for 18 years, so I am a bit partial here. You know I don't mind Liberals, when they are not so damned mean-spirited, and some are the worst this nation has ever known. Commented on The Board of Commissioners' Clown Car rolls onRINO - Republican in Name Only.
The Liberals in Beaufort County have done all their damage, over these many years, only with the help of the RINO. Actually RINOs are liberals, and we have had more than our share of them. Why do you think that I cannot make it out of a Republican primary, and I don't care how little effort I put in it? How can a Republican party not nominate someone that has won 5 straight general elections, twice by standing record totals? I don't get in by the skin of my teeth, I win well. You'd be surprised how many Democrats vote for me because they know that I am honest, and I stand against crony capitalism, government favoritism. Beaufort County is well known among real Republicans, from across the state, as a haven for RINOs, and we have well more than our share. No, there will always be liberal Democrats. The real problem in this county are the RINOs. Every real Republican knows this. If they don't, they are either drinking the Kool-aide of stupid, or they are not real Republicans. It is really a simple proposition here, and I will be well out of it very soon. Becuase of the RINOs, and too many non RINOs that won't stand up, and work for real Republicans, the Beaufort County Republican party is an abysmal failure, and has been for many years. One guy - Charles Hickman - was by far the best chairman we have ever had, and he had to fill in for the RINO stooge Greg Dority, when he quit as we headed into election season.
