In this fourth from the last meeting before I permanently step down as a county commissioner, a lesson was taught to me: Since I will not be afforded a "personal point of privilege", by King Chairman Langley, to refute slander against my good name, I will ask to be included in the Comment period, and, furthermore, to be allowed the last position to refute any lies against my character during that period heretofore.
In this August 4th general meeting, in this night's Comment section, I was untruthfully accused of doing, and saying things that were untrue, and since our meetings are recorded, I have evidence that this was a false accusation. The false accusations were proffered by Kathy Vasquez, which is becoming a standard operating practice for her. Her untruthful comments began against me, and then she moved on to discussing Commissioner Hood Richardson's peccadilloes of her choosing. When asked about that, Hood told me that nothing she said was true against him as well. It was if she was more concerned about racking up "brownie" points with folks that tend to appreciate false commentary, rather than making a pertinent point of any significance. As someone who always tells the truth, especially to make an important point, I found her commentary patently dishonest, and her behavior abjectly dishonorable. Since I was not afforded a "personal point of privilege", by King Chairman Langley, to refute the dishonesty of her comments, I will request that I be afforded the same comment privilege, at the conclusion of each comment period, to specifically refute the dishonesty of others made against my true and honest character. In my first Comment, at the September meeting, I will advise the commissioners and the public of my firm intent. |

Government and its bureaucracy are not perfect, and never has been in this self-governed society, here at the local level, at our state level, and at our federal level, therefore, it is incumbent upon all elected politicians to seek a comfortable level of representation for our constituents.

However, if one believes that Beaufort County government is in full command of the issues of our times, here locally, one might need to steel their resolve for a more perfect understanding of the intellect possessed by the Center-Left /Left Coalition.

Why the "pretense of listening" when minds are made up / no compromise is possible / it is a great local show comparable with Hillbillies of Beverly Hills (on Reelz Network)? A high school classmate of mine plays Me Maw. She was involved in law enforcement at one time in DeKalb County, GA.
I shall invite her to the next meeting with a camera crew. She would "whup yore asses!" It would be the most entertaining episode ever. Let's call it "Me Maw straightens out a bunch of idiots in NC."
