Big Bob: You began the "teamwork" metaphor as yet another one of your clichés, so I used that metaphor to inform you how I well I understand how politics /governing works, even though, as a Leftist, it is probably a concept you cannot fathom.


Let me use another metaphor for you then that is not so clichéd, so you might understand.

I will not join in league with the devil for the "best possible out comes for all of us."

This is the way I have governed for 26 plus years, and this method continues to work best for me and my constituents.

It was a clear case of the Center - Left Coalition, a political amalgamation of 2 Democratic Socialists and 2 confirmed RINO county commissioners, who swap votes to share power; employing their combined Left leaning, and inextricably vapid voting block to conveniently waste another 500,000.00 of the public's money to further and needlessly invest in the poorly planned and unneeded project of the grandest extreme - the New Eastern Elementary School Positioned at the Lowest Point of 28 Acres on Hudnell and 264 Business - where spending no money would have conveniently sufficed.

This power move by the Center - Left Coalition of Beaufort County Commissioners was a completely thoughtless assertion "bipartisan power" to the point of incredible sophistry, because wasting that 1/2 million dollars served NO PURPOSE whatsoever to my completely Conservative mind.

We should all shake our heads in disbelief, and then develop the electoral wisdom to disabuse these elected RINOs from their coalition of choice, where swapping votes to share power with Democratic Socialists, on the Beaufort County Commission, is all they could ever fathom how to govern.

Big Bob: Since you are anonymous here on encnow.com, are you one of the people that are working against economic development here in Beaufort County?

I see it on a regular basis; the special interest groups that consider their needs first out of financial justification, or just pure economic ignorance, which is rampant in certain sectors.

As an OEM creator, I have witnessed some overly compensated economic fools, with far too much decision making power, and it is nigh time that they be exposed, and removed from any decision making authority here in Beaufort County, especially where the People's vested needs and collective interests are concerned.

Thank-you Commissioner Richardson for bringing to specific light how Beaufort County governs employing the consensus of those that "go along to get along," and pure common sense be damned; damned by those in the control of one special interest or another as they plan their various group-think movements ... the deliberate and the well orchestrated foolhardy controlling affairs of the Center - Left Coalition; now membered by just 2 Democratic Socialists and 2 RINOs.

Thank God for elections every two years, and the next election for county commissioner cannot come soon enough. We, the self-governed, deserve so much better.

I advise every concerned citizen that knows the infamous fact that government spending, for what government offers the public, is far out of control, and to PLEASE Make This Stand NOW. Our sense of forever tomorrows may be too late.

Commissioner Richardson states that, "The Superintendent and the School Board Chairman represented to the City of Washington that they had consulted with (all of the) commissioners and the land trade would not be approved by the County Commissioners."

If that statement is true, and after 24 years of serving with Beaufort County's most senior commissioner, I have learned to know that one should employ grand discretion if ever discounting the validity of Commissioner Richardson's venerable declarations, I also declare "lies" were definitely told.

As the second most senior commissioner on this board, I have never been consulted about this problem of land title between the Beaufort County Schools and The City of Washington, nor was this issue ever discussed in an open meeting of Beaufort County's top governing body - The Beaufort County Commissioners.

If this issue was discussed privately by the Center - Left Coalition (a splinter coalition of four, membered by 2 Democratic Socialists and 2 RINOs, who swap votes to share power here in Beaufort County), I was not consulted and neither were the other two Real Republicans - Commissioners Hood Richardson and Tandy Dunn.
