Every state, including North Carolina, needs a similar sovereignty act to counter the overbearing federal leviathan. Also every Canadian province.

Bobbie, do you think the mayor of New York was so great when in 1861 he proposed the city secede from both New York state and from the federal union? Or when during the 1863 draft riots in New York City, that city saw the first mass lynching of free blacks in North America? New York City does not always get things right, now do they? But, of course, you approve of the judicial lynching of Donald Trump.

That article by Constitutional Law Professor Turley shows a frightening abuse of power by far left Judge Engoron in the Trump case in New York. Yes, those truckers are highly justified if they shut down New York. That despicable scoundrel in black robes has rigged this to hurt Trump severely in the wallet to even appeal. That is not American justice, that is Soviet style "justice".

This political abuse of Trump reminds me of a saying I once heard: "If you want justice, go to a whorehouse; if you want to get screwed, go to court".

It was Biden's disastrous pullout from Afghanistan that encouraged the aggression of dictators like Putin against Ukraine, and probably soon the ChiComs against Taiwan. If Trump had been president, the Ukraine invasion is unlikely to have happened. Trump still in office may have even discouraged the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel.

Hooray for the truckers. I hope they bring New York "to its knees" over this travestry in their courts. They richly deserve it. Just like the farmers in Europe are working to bring the EU to its knees over its totalitarian climate communism.

That writer from the Federalist, a national publication, did not follow this all the way through to when Mark Robinson walked back all of his comments on bathroom privacy, reportedly because RINO kingpin Phil Berger told him to do so. Berger has political operatives inserted in Robinson's campaign and Robinson seems to take orders from them and Berger, like when Robinson endorsed Berger's slate of pro-Berger candidates in state senate primaries. We should remember that it was Phil Berger and Tim Moore who led the effort that repealed NC's bathroom privacy laws in the first place. Mark Robinson needs to escape from Phil Berger's liberal plantation if he ever wants to have ANY credibility with conservatives again.

The GRNC endorsement in the governor's race is also interesting - Folwell first, but also including Robinson. The Daily Haymaker wrote an article on that some weeks ago. There was a split in GRNC's endorsement committee, with many wanting to only endorse Folwell, but a slight majority also wanted to include Robinson, probably out of deference to his viral speech at the Greensboro City Council on gun rights several years ago that launched Robinson into politics.

GRNC's vice chairman, who also heads its legislative operation took a leave of absence from GRNC so he could back only Folwell and tell the story on Robinson's shortcomings on gun issues. Robinson got a big black eye among gun rights supporters when he went AWOL and refused to get involved when liberal Republican Senate boss Phil Berger killed Constitutional Carry in the legislature.

But then again, Mark Robinson has repeatedly gone AWOL on just about every key conservative issue that has come up in the legislature. He is absolutely useless - all talk and no "do". When it comes to key specific issues, Robinson has not even done the "talk" part.

This gender insanity needs to be kept out of our schools at all levels. On the K-12 level, that means we need a new school board and a new superintendant.

Biden is also pushing censorship of free speech in various ways, such as his attempt to set up a Ministry of Truth style "disinformation board". Free speech is the cornerstone of democracy. Without it, democracy does not exist.

Democrats often try to falsely blame Republicans for what the Democrats are, in fact, doing themselves. This is a classic example.

Tone deaf New York Republicans decided to run an Ethiopian immigrant who spoke bad English in a district heavily impacted by illegal immigration. Granted she was a legal immigrant, but that was the wrong visual for what has become a huge issue in and around New York City. Then she let the Democrat get to her right, at least in voter perception, on the issue of illegal immigration. While the Democrat was likely lying through his teeth and will not vote that way in Congress, it had a big impact on this election. Then on top of all that, it snowed on election day, and it was the Democrats who had "banked" votes in early voting.

Republicans need to learn that it is getting right with the voters on issues, not "diversity" that wins elections. New York Republicans blew this one in so many ways.

It tells the tale if you look at support among GOP elected officials. Amazingly both Kidwell and Richardson are on the same side on this one, for Speciale. They are both conservatives but often with a different take on things. Kidwell is doing radio ads for Speciale. Former Senator Bill Cook just did a fundraiser for Speciale.

Only "trans-partisan" county commissioner Frankie Waters, who contributed to a Democrat legislator while on the ballot as a "Republican" and who caucuses with both of the Democrats on the county commission is backing Brinson. Waters was also the commissioner who bragged in the last election about raising taxes three of the eight years he had been a commissioner. That fits well with Brison tax increase record in New Bern.

Brinson also has the support of two Lenoir County legislators, liberal Senator Jim Perry. Brinson keeps telling us he is so much more conservative than Perry, but then why is Perry such a major supporter of Brinson? That just doesn't smell right. The other big Brinson supporter in Lenoir County is a former State Representative who was a big liberal in Raleigh and then spent prison time for corruption.

When Brinson fails to repudiate this dishonest smear campaign, the slime covers him, too, and reflects on his lack of integrity. But I guess he is just afraid to cross Boss Berger. That is not what we need in Raleigh.

If this dispute were about whether to use wine or grape juice for communion or the proper role of the bishop, it would be wholly irrelevent to a political campaign. Here the dispute is whether the church ought to push a cultural / political agenda of the left, which would be relevent to an election to public office.

Still, I would hate to see it in a campaign ad for an opponent. It is a delicate subject because it is tied to a church. Informed public or private discussion among voters, however, is proper.

I congratulate First Methodist Church in getting out of the United Methodist Church mousetrap. Although I am not a Methodist myself, I like what I see in the new Global Methodist Church.

Biden caused the migrant crisis with those 64 open borders executive orders. He could go a long way to solve it by revoking all of them, but he refuses to revoke any.

Spot on. CO2 has never had anything to do with climate, but controlling it means controlling people. That's why the globalists are pushing the CO2 scam so hard. It is also why the farmers in Europe are fighting "climate communism" as it is being called, so hard. More power to them. The climate crusade is the cutting edge of 21st century fascism.

The word of mouth that is going around about the Walkers and their taking the woke side of the church split is circulating well beyond First Methodist. Many in the Bible Beleiving churches have also taken note. It is an indicator that they are more woke than they let on. But other candidates in these races are in a tricky position to try to use it without hurting their own campaigns. They are better off letting the word of mouth do its work, and it is doing so.

That may well have been ANTIFA. The guy on video at the Capitol Jan. 6 who constantly urges the crowd to "burn it down" speaking of the Capitol was identified as ANTIFA, although dressed up as a Trump supporter. He is in numerous videos of ANTIFA riots, and his name is even known. Funny thing, the feds have never arrested him, either.

McConnell is largely a reincarnation of Benedict Arnold. I can see why the far left troll Bobbie loves him. McConnell is constantly stabbing his own party in the back, as he tried to do on his border sellout.

Ted Cruz stands strong for principle. He would make turtle soup out of McConnell.

A Tea Party PAC years ago summed up Mitch McConnell as a chicken:

However, McConnell is usually summed up as "the turtle" because he is always retreating inside his shell.

Bolsnevik Bob with his MAGA obsession knows nothing about the divisions in the Republican Party which go way back. When I was growing up, what are now called "establishment Republicans", RINOs, or "Special Interest Republicans" were called "Rockefeller Republicans". In those days, we even had the "Battle Hymn of the Republicans" to the tune of "Rock of Ages" which began "Rockefellers not for me, he is not for GOP. . ." In the Obama era, they were called "Obama Republicans" so in our time it would be fitting to call McConnell and his crowd "Biden Republicans".

Reagan had nearly as much problem with these sellouts as Trump but it gets really bad with a Democrat in the presidency. On the state level we have been plagued by what are, in effect, Cooper Republicans like Phil Berger and Tim Moore.

Senator Mike Lee is onto something in trying to kick out McConnell, who betrayed us often under both Obama and Biden, and on many issues, not just immigration. I hope Lee keeps going with that effort. Also the Oklahoma GOP withdrawing its support from that turncoat special interest goober Lankford needs to continue.

Bobbie, your knowledge of history seems to come totally from the far left narrative. Actually, there were quite a few minorities serving in the Confederate army, based on southern state military pension records of the late 19th century. Indeed, the Confederate States, unlike the Union, allowed minorities to serve as officers, and the highest ranking minority to serve on either side in the war was Confederate General Stand Watie. The Confederate army also paid minority soldiers the same pay as white soldiers, while the Union army only paid them half of what a white soldier received.

Lankford, McConnell, Tillis and others like them are nothing but useful idiots for Mexican crime cartels that are making hundreds of millions each year from human smuggling of illegal aliens to America. We do not need human garbage like them in the US Senate and they are a massive embarassment to the Republican Party.

MAGA governed very well under Trump, as did traditional conservatism under Reagan. It is WOKE that shows every day that it is totally unable to govern. That is true in both Europe and America. Everything Biden touches turns to crap, and in Europe, the farmers are in widespread revolt against Woke and with widespread public support against Woke.

There is something called the Constitution that in a Constitutional republic is supposed to be the supreme law, and anything inconsistent with it like this voter initiative sponsored by the Democrats are supposed to be thrown out by the courts. But when you have partisan Democrat hacks as judges, the rule of law does not seem to apply and they do what they think best for them politically.

Also, being Oregon, I suspect few of the ousted senators were populists ("MAGA") Republicans.

The rule of law is deteriorating in America due to corrupt partisan courts and prosecutors. All of those counties would be a heck of a lot better off joining Idaho as they want.

Partisan courts - where democracy goes to die.

Hmmm! The man who killed the most important gun rights legislation last legislative session, Phil Berger with Constitutional Carry, recruits and supports this Brinson candidate, and Brinson then tries to tell us he is pro-gun?????? What is wrong with that picture? Does it make any sense? Is Brinson just trying to tell us what he thinks we want to hear, or is he naive enough not to know that Berger will own him if he gets to Raleigh? Speciale was one of the leading champions of gun rights when he was in the House, and it is Speciale we can depend on to defend gun rights, not Berger's boy Brinson.

Boycots of legislative sessions to get concessions is a legislative tactic used around the world, and has been used in America mostly by Democrats. In Oregon, when it was used by Repubilcans, the Democrats got this ballot measure passed which was contrary to the Constitution to try to prevent use of this legislative tactic.

The political hacks on the all-Democrat state Supreme Court ignored their own state Constitution to uphold a measure that clearly contradicted it. Seems like the usual Democrat twisting of Constitutions. Hopefully all those counties which want to join Idaho will be able to get out of the tyrannical socialist mousetreap called Oregon.

Six of our school board members have a record of only listening to Cheeseman, not to the public. I doubt they will change, so voters will need to change our five of them in this years election, so we get school board members who listen to the public instead of being puppets of a leftwing bureaucrat.

Mark Robinson is being exposed as a phoney. He is little more than a puppet of uber-RINO Phil Berger. Berger did not want Robinson taking stands on actual issues in the General Assembly so Robinson said "yes, Boss" and went silent on issues. Now, Berger has given him a list of RINOs to endorse, including Brinson in this district, and Robinson again says "yes, Boss" and does it. Berger is galloping leftward on a wide range of issues, and Robinson is going right along with him. North Carolina can do better.

Mike Speciale in the House was one of the main gun rights supporters in the legislature, a top ally of NC's leading gun rights organization, Grassroots North Carolina. Not only were his votes solid on gun rights, but he was often the chief sponsor of gun rights legislation. We need him more than ever in the Senate.

While 27 other states now have Constitutional Carry, North Carolina does not because liberal Senate President pro tem Phil Berger killed it in last year's General Assembly session. "Silent Mark" Robinson sat twiddling his thumbs while Berger did so. Now Bob Brinson puts our mailers saying he is for gun rights but Phil Berger is pushing people to send Brinson money. What just does not add up about that picture?

If you are a gun rights supporter, Mike Speciale is your candidate. He has the backbone to stand up to the likes of Phil Berger and the proven legislative skills to do so successfully.

In the Governor's race, Dale Folwell is the gun rights supporter we can depend on. Mark Robinson made great speeches on gun rights, but when the chips were down on gun rights in the legislature, Robinson, the presiding officer over the state senate, let us down.

Gov. Brian Kemp, who is a WEF globalist who recently went to their confab in Davos, usually tells Trump to pound sand, and you would expect that from a globalist. This issue with Fani Willis, however, did not come from Trump's legal team. One of the other defendants, a Georgian, filed a 100 page brief that dropped that bomshell. People with TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) always have their blinders on and only see Trump, but there is a whole lot more here on this crooked DA.

When it comes to courts, if there is a fair jury pool and a fair judge, as there seems to be in the Florida documents case, the Democrats put that one on the back burner. They only want cases with biased judges and partisan jury pools in their favor like Manhattan, DC, and Atlanta. Playing politics with the courts as the Democrats are doing is a big threat to democracy and the rule of law.
