Commented on NC AG Stein won’t defend state over new abortion lawThank-you for speaking to what you know to be true Country Girl.
Many decades ago, and long before I had any idea that I would ever be called upon to serve, I was once a liberal Democrat that had just transitioned into a moderate Democrat, without really knowing what it meant to be a Democrat at all; however, I was 26 years old and waking up, about to become a father for the first time. It was at that time my cavalier attitude toward abortion changed forever. Without belaboring the point, something dramatic happened in my life that made me firmly consider what constituted the beginning of life, and what a very important path fatherhood is for our species. What happened next within my young, clearing mind is my spiritual address of the subject replacing my new scientific understanding of the the Beginning of Life, and what I discovered was: How can Abortion on Demand be a noble necessity for ardent liberal Democrats, when there is a true life in the balance? It was not long after that awakening of mind and purpose that I realized that I would have trouble voting for any candidate, for any elected office, that did not approach the precious life of the unborn in as serious manner as myself. By the time I was 32 years I had stopped (as I was then a conservative Democrat) voting for any Democrat whatsoever except Mitchell Norton, Beaufort County's DA. Mitchell was my front door neighbor, and I liked and respected him, also ... He too was a conservative Democrat. It was not until 1991 that I became a Republican, but when I did become one, I was a passionate about true Conservativism in the wake of what Ronald Reagan had wrought. I still feel blessed that this nation had such a wonderful president, and I pray that our next president will be just as transformational ... or within reason close to that good man, by far and away the greatest, most significant president of my lifetime. Maybe then our nation will transition to a more thoughtful position, more spiritually considerate of what is real, and cease serving at the alter of evil idols, one of which - Abortion on Demand.

Commented on NC AG Stein won’t defend state over new abortion lawNorth Carolina now has had nearly 13 years of pathetic leadership in the state's attorney general's office.
First, then AG Roy Cooper would not defend HB 2 because he was so politically committed to the early Trans /Gender Mutilation movement, with men showering with young girls such integral component to its initial success; now, current NC AG Josh Stein will not defend the state's new abortion regulations because it will not allow Abortion on Demand as a manner of contraception, and AG Stein instinctively realizes that Abortion on Demand is the Democratic Socialists political life blood.

Well, I can only add that Barack Hussein Obama was always a ... "man's man," way ahead of his time.
With this new revelation of his sexual diversity, the Democratic Socialists should now be doing backflips in these days and times (if he had now already served two terms) to run such a "forward thinking guy's guy". Hilary Clinton, nor any Democratic Socialist aspirant would ever have a chance in any primary against this pan sexual wunderkind.

What I heard from Mayor Adams: Instead of the Trump Era "Remain in Mexico" policy, he wishes to institute a Biden Era "Remain in Texas" policy; however ...
Texas Governor Abbott has, on the other hand, settled on a Biden Era "Remain in New York" policy, or if need be, a "Bus Back to New York" policy, thereby sanctuary by proxy. I wonder who wins in this contest of wills, all the while a doddering Biden dithers amid the hazed dreams of his many lives yet lived within the words, and motivations of better men.

Commented on Good Bye Martini SippersGrace Brown: As a county commissioner, I have no position on City matters unless it affects the county government, which is far a larger ingredient in all of Beaufort County residents' lives, including those that live within the city limits.
To that end, since the county, as a body politic of the state of North Carolina, administers most state services, and, in kind, many federal ones as well, I am very concerned with what occurs more in Raleigh and Washington, DC rather than Washington, NC. For instance, the corruption within the Federal Executive concerns me greatly, as Beaufort County is now becoming a "border county" since the corrupt Idiot President has opened the borders wide open, and has effectively worked in tandem, as an accessory, with the Narcotics and Human Trafficking /Sex Slave Trade to bring additional evil to all our communities. This is what I think about, and am working to destroy. That destruction begins with the elimination of all non patriot politicians and bureaucrats. So, I leave city matters to city politicians until ... they should go off the deep end ... then I will get involved as I do with Raleigh and Washington, DC.

This was intended to be a little bit of a satirical piece, but I am speaking true about my musical choices as the beginning of a whole raft of tunes that really speak to me.
For decades, I have groused about the limited selection of good musicians; however, I would find a few erupting through the bluster and noise of so much crap, like Alison Krauss and her badass boys, Dave Matthews, Jewell and a few others, but NOW, here recently, I am finding some smaller known musicians that have true talent in song construction, musicianship, and well integrating their finely tined spirits into their melodies. Remarkably, much of the music has a Traditional Country /Bluegrass base, which is just fine with me, as I have been a Bluegrass fan since 1975; as it did save me from the banality of Disco, and silly Hair Bands, Punk, and the rest of bleak melodic offerings. These talented young music makers is an encouragement when all seems so bleak, as many of us are greatly concerned whether those younger generations will ever be able to 'keep this Republic.'

This publication, Eastern NC NOW, is Beaufort County top journalistic entity, and holding that position with great pride, we allow all comments and decently written posts providing that the truth of any issue never becomes the first victim. If you wish to offer a retort to my true words, have at it. I am certainly not a Leftist, so as publisher, I make honest decisions every day, and I know dishonestly often when it presents itself, and act as I see fit. Wanton dishonesty never furthers any salient point. Witness the corrupt Leftist Executive, and much of its bureaucracy, the insipidly Corrupt Corporate Media, all of which will be the commanding history of these dishonest days. Eastern NC NOW is an honest oasis to this hurricane of lies and liars, and will remain that way as long as I, and soon we, draw breath

Commented on Guess again! Neo-Nazis support Joe Biden in 2024I disagree Big Bob: Ignorant politicians create ignorant bureaucrats, and both do significant damage, all the while patting themselves and each other on the back as to how important they are ... and it is not just the Democratic Socialists that raise my ire, it is, moreover, the RINO class of Republicans (Beaufort County has more than its share) that I have not, and will not tolerate.
My disdain for the RINO is truly well established since it is their patent dishonesty that I absolutely abhor, and have for decades. So Big Bob, I cannot and will not take my intelligence that you acknowledge that I possess, and diminish it while remaining an honest politician; not by staying quiet when I see such dishonesty and associative ignorance in government. If it is my curse to your ilk that I fully recognize the damage these fools commit upon the rest of us ... the good citizens of these states united ... then I will bear that curse until those good people rally around what is real. That will happen at some point.

Commented on Guess again! Neo-Nazis support Joe Biden in 2024Even though my referenced comment was not regarding smart v stupid, but was more about the corrupt v the good, I am now inclined to ask at this point, Big Bob:

We have all seen your comments on President Trump's intellect, who actually was a very effective president and is smart, so I do believe that you, once again Big Bob, stand corrected as I do believe that hypocrisy, at least for the other side from yours, certainly is never a noble gesture.

Commented on Guess again! Neo-Nazis support Joe Biden in 2024Big Bob: Leftists, as you should be well aware of at this point, are not smart people; and yes, Mr. Trump did make a mistake referring to the crowd on that day, in that place as "there are good people on both sides," which there were good people on both sides, and then there clearly were not, our "better angels" notwithstanding.
Clearly "on both sides," along with the well proved "good people," there were bigots and racists in equal measure. In retrospect, all thinking people know this, and wise politicians should be careful, in today's media circus climate, in speaking to those "better angels" within the best of us when addressing the public at large in volatile situations. The Non Patriot Left created this foul societal climate, and the Patriot Right should damn well know this by now, without exception. Presidents should also now know this, and furthermore, understanding just how stupid the Non Patriot Left is, which is well supported and an inarguable fact, wise politicians must be careful with what they publicly comment, especially when the Corrupt Corporate Media - the Democratic Socialist Propagandist Media, devoid of any real journalists, is there parsing one's words. I am almost sure Mr. Trump will be smarter in his imminent second administration, and the Real Media, where there are real journalists, must do their jobs to always report what is true, and fervently call out what is fake, and pound that point into the Leftist opposition's corrupt existence ... always, and without fail for the betterment of society, and the continuance of a self-governed Republic.

Commented on Good Bye Martini SippersIn full transparency to the second Concerned Voter (there are now Concerned Voters commenting here on Eastern NC NOW): The property at 106 Beechtree Street is a private residence, one where I live and share with my family, run my business, a property that is in full and constant occupancy, and has been so by me and Lynn since 1994.
Gary Ceres is now, and will be further involved with at least one of my businesses, as an independent contractor; so, as a matter of a more perfect business and to provide a convenience to my associate, Mr. Ceres, I am leasing Gary a private room with a private bath; both of which are above my spacious office where I work, meet with clients and customers, all of whom meet with me by appointment only. He and I both have a private entrance to this space, as it is in the northeast wing of my residence. My other direct employees work above my three car garage, which is connected to that northeast wing, all of which is on 4 lots of my property in Mac'swood. I have owned this property all, or in part since 1994. Gary signed a lease agreement with me on June 30, 2023 to take advantage of this space as he sees fit to do so. This should offer a full and sufficient explanation.

The Constitution provides for each state's general assembly to provide for elections, and in most states each county is a body politic of that state, and thus responsible for the local integrity of each election.
If a state is corrupt, as many are now, then counties have a far easier time plying their associative corruption. That is why I cannot see how the Left cannot understand Election Integrity, and its importance. As a Leftist Big Bob is good for providing his special political muse.
