Beaufort County is now one of the few counties in the state, and perhaps the only county, not to have some requirement in local school board policy of teaching our founding principles as part of the curriculum. PUtting this in local policy is important because many school systems have a habit of not following state statute even when there is a reporting requirement to the legislature.

A good example of that is on teaching cursive writing which is also required by state statute, and county school systems are required to report they are doing it. A number have learned that they can just fail to report at all and nothing will happen. Others regularly report they are teaching cursive writing when in fact they are not. In Beaufort County Schools, they file reports saying they are teaching it, and some teachers do and some don't. Here in Beaufort County we have too many students graduating who cannot even sign their name even though they are supposed to be fluent in reading and writing in cursive before leaving elementary school under state statute.

It is because so many local school systems laugh at state staturory requirements that do not happen to be in favor at NCDPI. that it is essential that these requirements be placed in local policy.

This excuse for deleting this material came from the school board's very liberal Durham-based attorney, who was also interjecting other excuses to water down what the conservatives on the board were trying to do. One wonders why a majority-Republican school board in conservative Beaufort County would not hire a local attorney to represent them, and why go all the way to Durham. That is particularly true since their school board attorney is presently or has recently served as vice chairman of the Durham County Democratic Party, one of the most leftwing units of the Democrat Party in North Carolina.

Well, "True Republican", what do you think of this nominally Republican school board majority hiring a liberal Democrat Party activist from half way across the state as our local school board attorney? Hint: he was recommended by Superintendabt Cheeseman.

That AZ thing with Fox must be really pushed hard in Bobbie's far left talking points, because he keeps repeating this irrelevent comment. Trump accepted the debate at Fox. It was Kamala the Chameleon who refused.

All networks "call" states in elections long before all the votes are counted and do that by exit polls. Many uuestioned how early FOx called AZ in 2020, long before other networks, but they turned out, very narrowly, to be right. With early voting and mail in ballots, the science of "calling" electoins has become much more difficult.

What Trump talked about was what Democrats were calling for, NOT what the law currently said, and he specifically addressed the former Democrat governor of Virginia's comments on the subject, which accurately repeated what that Democrat had called for. That despicable goon LInsey Davis then shifted gears in her response to current law, which was very dishonest. She also missed that in Tim Walz' Minnesota, the law had already been changed with Walz' support to say that if a baby was born alive in a botched abortion, doctors were not required to give it any treatment. They may not be able to actively kill it, but they could let it die on its own by failing to treat it. Lindsey Davis is no better than Josef Goebbels in her false propaganda.

Any debate should have strict rules for moderators not interjecting themselves into the debate and not framing questions to go after a candidate. Let their opponent do whatever is done on those things. Moderators should not be arguing with candidates on the substance of their answers.

President Trump and the Biden-Harris regime both have economic records. Only a socialist or an economic illiterate would prefer the Biden-Harris economic record over than of Trump. Take influation which was 1.4$ when TRump left office and is now more than twice that under Biden-Harris, most of that as a result of their leftist energy policies and heavy deficit spending. And the prognosis is much worse with Kamalanomics if Harris slips in:

Democrat elecction officials have been playing partisan politics. When RFK'Jr. was an active candidate and a threat to Biden/Harris, they abused power to try to keep him off the ballot. When he suspended his campaign and endorsed Trump, they abused power to try to keep him on the ballot. Thank goodness for the courts intervention against this abuse of power.

When schools promote "gender identity" and "pride month" and things of that nature in early grades, that is sexualizing children. Florida and some other states have passed laws to stop it. So did some European countries like Hungary and Bulgaria. Nobody in this thread has mentioned BC Schools specifically, Little Bobbie, except YOU. Is there some reason we don't know about that you are so defensive of BCS on that issue?

School curriculum in many, many states IS very much the problem. In some, parents are not even allowed to opt their children out of these sexualizing classes.

If you had the gumption to read what the families had to say, THEY were the ones who invited him to bring the photographers. It was no different than Biden having cameras there when he came out to watch the bodies returned home, although he probably wished he hadn't after he got caught constantly looking at his watch.

Calling this a "campaign" event is very disrespectful to the families of our servicemen killed by Biden and Harris' gross incompetence in the Afghan bugout. But you lefties care NOTHING about them. Heck the Biden-Harris aparatchiks did all they could to prevent the memorial service even happening.

When "rules" are being interpreted by someone who is responsible to a poitical appointee on the other side, like our woke joke of a Defense Secretary, that interpretation is likely to be bogus. Also, you may be relying on the debunked version put out by someone at National Progressive Radio (NPR).

Biden and Harris did nothing to honor our soldiers who were killed in their badly botched Afghanistan withdrawal and they were not happy that Trump and Vance chose to honor them on the anniversary of their deaths. Harris was the last person who talked to Biden about Afghanistan before he made his diastrous decision, which also encouraged Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
