Today, as part of the Trump ordered ICE deportation raids, multiple members of the Tren de Aragua Venezuelan crime gang have been arrested in the Charleston, South Carolina area where they were running a drug operation dealing fentynl.

Illegal aliens are a huge burden on taxpayers, but the Biden regime was paying groups to help them on their journeys to the US and then take care of them when they got here. That is outrageous. There needs to be a thorough accounting of this misspent money and some prosecutions over it.

There was a discussion on the BO some time back on FAA's DEI program for air traffic controllers, and the concern then was some of the categories they were actively seeking - the blind, the deaf, those with serious mental health problems, and those with intelecctual disabilities. The concern then was that DEI would cause people to DIE, and that may have been a factor here. Dumbing down the requirements and the tests to meet quotas creates a less skilled workforce regardless of whether the specific air controllers on duty were DEI hires themselves.

There is also the issue of the air traffic control being shorthanded because one controller who was supposed to be on duty was allowed to leave early.

It has also come out now that there was another near miss with a helicopter at this same airport the same night and one the night before.

It is out on social media, and we will have to see if this is true, that the pilot who was actually flying the helicopter was a "male to female transgender", and also that the pilot was flying erraticly and almost hit two other planes before this one. If that is true, it begs the question of whether this was a murder-suicide for political reasons. The helicopter was also clearly flying much higher than was allowed.

The real problem comes when an elected board starts thinking they work for their own bureaucracy instead of working for the public. That is a huge problem on the school board, and it appears Hudson may be falling into that trap. On the county commission, Frankie Waters is putty in the hands of the county manager. Why is it that we have lame brain elected officials who think their employees are their bosses?

Stan: Yes exactly. Elected boards are there to protect citizens from the "cognitive disarray" professional bureaucrats tend to come up with.

We oftentimes complain about the deep state and uniparty at the state and national levels. We should not assume those entities are not present at the local level. They are - every bit as much.

One of the big "pull factors" that causes illegal aliens to invade our country is welfare, freebies, and handouts. We need to crack down on those who provide such things, in and out of government. Then there are those who come for the crime. Any country that has a big influx of illegal aliens also sees a big increase in crime.
