Commented on We Now Know What is Holding Beaufort County BackSure Big Bob: I have a suggestion since you have so much commentary, so much of the it on the firm side of non sequitur: Try reading the article, construct a real and responsible thought, and then drop the clichéd responses.

Next, we need to restore the military to a focus on readiness instead of being a laboratory for woke activism. This is one more aspect of national security and is one more thing that makes a great deal of difference for having a healthy nation state.

Bpbbie is just regurgitating what his cult puts in his head. He can't see the forest for the trees. The ones who are doing damage are the out of touch incompetent politicians who let this wildfire get out of control by not properly preparing for it or responding to it.

Commented on We Now Know What is Holding Beaufort County BackYou have the City of Washington figured out correctly. The mayor has a city council of his puppets and his buddies can do anything they want. Cross him, and they will screw you to the wall. It is all political. But the worst thing is the one running it all has not been elected to anything. The mayor's wife is the one who pulls his strings and really has the final say on what happens in Washington.
I have heard that Chocowinity's mayor also has puppets on his town council.

Commented on We Now Know What is Holding Beaufort County BackWhat good does it do to have zoning laws if a city selectively chooses to enforce, or not enforce? I have heard Washington City council members say they believe a landowner ought to be able to do whatever he wants on his own land. No one objected at that city meeting. This was back about a year ago when it showed me that the favored classes get favors at the expense of the neighbors. The City will twist and turn like a worm in a rotting carcass to get it done. If one objects the City will get revenge on you. The City manager sez "what's it to you? Why do you care what they do over there?" Because... toes are being stepped on, that's why. One wins favors, and one loses their rights as citizens. No one talks about it on NOW, because they fear local govt more than they Fear the Federal Govt. Soooo lets keep talking about Newsome's Calif fires.

Even with a small majority, Republicans are hitting the ground running in Congress. With less than a week in office, they have already passed two significant bills, the Laken Riley Act to crack down on criminal illegal aliens, and now the Protection of Women and Girls Act. That is what real governance looks like, a shining example compared to the massive failures of Democrat "woke" governance on display in California.

The governance failures by California Democrats have not stopped. Now Gov. Newsom has issued an executive order that will make it almost impossible for homeowners who have lost their homes to sell off their lots. Most of them will need to do that to buy another house to get a down payment. Some speculation is that Newsom is upset that many are planning to move out of California and is trying to keep them tied to the state by being unable to sell their lots now that their houses are gone. Newsome takes what is already a horrible situation for these people and makes it even worse. California really needs to remove that nitwit from office.

Their horrible failures in governance in Califronia in gross mismangement on the wildfires clearly shows that WOKE cannot govern competently. On the other hand, Republicans in Congress have hit the ground running, passing bills on two significant issues in the first week, the Laken Riley Act on illegal alien criminals and the Protection of Women and Girls Act to keep biological men out of girls sports.

Bigot Bob takes the far left narrative as fact, not it is actually fiction. In reality, masses of Biden-Harris border jumpers are stuffed in luxury hotels at taxpayer expense, not picking lettuce. That's why places like New York, Chicago, and Denver are shelling out hundreds of millions of dollars to subsidize these freeloaders. Americans don't hate them; we just want them to go home where they belong and stop mooching off of us.
GIven the huge spike in pickpocketing since the masses of Biden-Harris migrants arrived, it is likely that more of them are picking pockets than picking lettuce. If you remember Cesar Chavez and his United Farm Workers Union, most of his members were Hispnaic American citizens, and one of the thing Chavez always told his members was to be vigilent to spot illegal aliens and to properly report them when they were spotted. Chavez was once a darling of the American left, but he is now out of favor with the open borders left.

My post is factual.
Hire an American to pick lettuce,, and see how much a head of lettuce costs. Your argument doesn’t even pass a laugh test. That said, we could do a better job of with our immigration laws that allow people to come here legally and work in exchange for proper over site and a path to a better life. Win, win. BH- it’s ok to hate the system, but do really need to hate on people?

Migrants are now 14% of Germany's populiation and 63% of their welfare budget. Their economy is on the skids, with record bankruptcies of businesses, and a GNP has is in decline. The majority of migrants are not employed. It is easier to pull the statistics from Germany, but their negative impact on our economy is likely the same.
As far as our household budget, the presence of a large number of illegal aliens has increase housing costs, food costs, medical costs, and insurance costs for our citizens.
