Yeah because e the months long underwater well head head broke in the gulf releasing millions of barrels into the gulf was really nothing.

Another misleading headline.

An event like a hurricane that tore up a bunch of these wind turbines as it went up the coast would dwarf the damage from the Exxon Valdese. It is not only the fiberglass shards, but there are toxic chemcials in the lubricants in the narcels, and indeed in the coatings on the blades, not to mention the continuing navigation hazzards

As to damage from ships, the environment is fortunate that that car carrier where a shipment of electric vehicles spontaneously combusted and set the ship on fire did not sink as feared in that critically sensitive marine preserve off of the Netherlands. Just good luck that the toxic crap did not end up there.

I was hoping for a more traditional Reagan style conservative, and Dr. Ben Carson was my first choice from the shortlist. Trump avoided the pick from that list that would have caused heartburn in the base, Coug Bergum.

I understand the political logic of J. D. Vance. He appeals to the swing states of the rust belt like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota, where the election will be won or lost. His connections in the world of finance offer great fundraising opportunities. Finally, after last Saturday, of all the shortlist, Vance probably best offers assassination insurance, list Kamala Harris has for Biden.

Thinking logically from a political perspective, he is probably who trump should have picked.

In some of our counties the community colleges are trying to camouflage the DEI programs with other language. That's not so at Beaufort Community College. They are wearing it like a badge of honor.

Sounds awful. Make the Exxon Valdez look like spilled milk.

DEI created an incompetent quota-obsessed Secret Service that caused someone to DIE at the Trump rally in Butler, PA. DEI is a cancer in our society that needs to be totally removed. It is totally shameful that we have DEI embedded at Beaufort County Community College thanks to its president, "Fruit" Loupe.

Sean Hannity reported on his radio program yesterday that the shooter had been saying derogatory things about Trump to a classmate and had called those supporting Trump "idiots". It would seem that the explosive devices he had on hand were intended for rallygorers.

The MSM and the Biden regime keep stalling on this Democrat contributor's motive but it should be clear.

Big Bob: When I say the "Democratic Socialist party has no reason to exist," it is just that. The Democratic Socialists can form under any party they wish, but the Democratic Socialist party is finished as a brand.

I have never said that the "Republican party has no reason to exist;" the Republican party, at the national level, has found a purpose again, and they are voicing that purpose well enough for now.

My writing is plain enough for those that can read for comprehension.

From the articles linked, there was not any major event that caused that blade to shatter. It just happened. Imagine a hurricane or even a bad nor'easter blowing through a gaggle of these things. How much damage would that cause, and how long to clean it up, if that were even possible? We DO NOT need these wind scams in our oceans. Roy Cooper is an idiot to propose it.

There are not ANY oil platforms off of either Nantucket or North Carolina, so that is an apples and oranges deflection, Little Bobbie.

Big pieces of the shattered turbine can be picked up if they float or wash up on the beach. If they sink close to shore, they will be found when somebody steps on them and cuts themselves severely. Small pieces, which can also do a lot of damage to beachgoers, are extremely difficult to find.

Now imagine a hurricane comes along and shatters a bunch of these things. Finding all the pieces, big and small, is going to be next to impossible. This things need to be banned from our shoreline, or the required insurance needs to be in the stratosphere and cover and direct or indirect damage, including losses of tourism related businesses.

Stan-- its no different than what JB said with the crosshair comment. Some will see his and your comments as innocent not meaning harm, but others will interpret it in a more sinister way.
I'm guessing you didn't mean all democrat and republican's should be done away with, but you really haven't clarified.

JB did. Your turn.

A complete disaster. What did they do, pick up the pieces? Sounds way worse than a major oil spill.

Bath Parent: When you slander me, or others that are of substance, people that matter with lies, you will get called out.

Frankie Waters has never been slandered on this platform, because all slander has to begin with a lie. Plus, Frankie is a RINO 1st class, of which every real Republican of Beaufort County knows to their core.

One more thing "Bath Parent," you used a Fake Email again, so couple that with the fact that you operate under an alias, you are suspended from commenting for the next 6 weeks; do it again and it will be much longer if not forever on this august platform.

If you really are from Bath (instead of BCCS central office), have you thought about where Cheeseman plans to get the other 200 students for his 1,000 student school? The system has declining enrollment, and the two schools being combined have only 800 students. The other two closest elementary schools are Chocowinity and BATH.

When we spend public funds, they shold be spent efficiently, not in a half-assed manner to bolster a bureaucrat's resume.

As to T.W. Allen, I suggest you watch some school board meetings. Sometimes you even wonder whether he is awake, except when Cheeseman leans over to instruct him on what to do. He is a complete joke, as are Mack Hodges and Eltha Booth, who also rarely open their mouths on anything. All three are Cheeseman puppets.

You are quick to call slander on people that call out Hood or yourself. Why not call out slander when people comment on TW ALLEN or Frankie? We all know this is a one sided narrative this blog post prints. Have you stopped to ask yourself how much money this grant will put into the county? Oh yea you and Hood would like Beaufort County to not change at all.

Biden is on the same anti-free speech path here in the US. He has been called the most anti-free speech president since John Adama, who was known for his Alien and Sedition Act", by renowned George Washington Univerity Law Professor Jonathan Turley. The way to make a stand for free speech in November is to make sure we elect Donald Trump and a Republican Congress, both House and Senate.

Proper financial management of this $52 million project means we need ALL of our elected school board members AND county commissioners to be fully engaged, not mere bystanders. There is too much taxpayer money invovled here for any of them to take a powder. Cheeseman has little or no experience in this area of building schools. I guess that is why he is so desperate for this one for his resume. He can probably paper over a boondoggle. The taxpayers, on the other hand, will be stuck with it when he moves on.
