Commented on What is wrong with a conservative curriculum?BZ- the nail you speak of is white supremacy. Folks that challenge that and want to include other perspectives would do just that, bring all up to a standard that both genuine one that keep us from making the same mistakes over and over.
If you think I'm a race baiter, than I would say its time to look in a mirror. I have never said an untrue thing about white people. Not once.

Commented on What is wrong with a conservative curriculum? There is an old country proverb that says, “If you are a hammer, everything looks like a nail”. It appears that, if you are a race baiter, everything is tied to color. Why would anyone be opposed to bringing all races and creeds up to levels that would allow them to progress and contribute to themselves and society? Teaching hatred and division is not the answer. “A house divided cannot stand”.

As a former political appointee serving in the Jim Martin administration, I am well aware that staffing an administration is the key to success or failure. Martin brought in policy oriented and competent Republicans and conservatives, and he cruised to easy reelection. Pat McCrory on the other hand shunned appointment of policy oriented party activists and as a result, policy blunders cost him reelection.
With this in mind, Folwell has demonstrated that he knows how to staff a state government department with solid competent policy oriented people, while Robinson has floundered badly trying to staff the much smaller lieutenant governor's office. Folwell has demonstrated the competence that Robinson clearly lacks. There is an old campaign slogan used years ago by the British Conservative Party that sums up the difference between Folwell and Robinson - "Action, Not Words".

This is the very reason that many activists in North Carolina want to close our primaries to only registered Republicans. There is too much opportunity for mischief from the Democrats with open primaries. There were very active campaigns in both Iowa and New Hampshire to get Democrat-oriented voters to "hold their nose for Haley" to try to hurt Trump. Don't look now, but South Carolina is also an open primary.
In 2008, non-Republicans voting in our primary are what gave us loser John McCain as a nominee. McCain was the one the Democrat hierarchy wanted to run against and they got him. Winning both New Hampshire and South Carolina gave McCain enough momentum that others were unable to stop him. Exit polls showed that if only Republicans were voting, McCain would have lost both states, but it was non-Republicans voting that carried both for McCain. Republican nominatins should be decided by Republicans not by others.

Folwell's primary opponent has a great record as an orator. Dale Folwell has a tremendous record of ACTION resulting in good governance. I really hate to lose him as Secretary of Treasury, but I look forward to his service as North Carolina Governor.
There's no one in this race even close to Folwell when comparing record of service - from either party.

Commented on Trump Told Michigan Canvassers They Would Look ‘Terrible’ If They Certified 2020 Vote: ReportIt does appear that there is firm proof that the Trump campaign of 2020 did definitively question the results of the 2020 election ... just exactly like every Democratic Socialist politician and every corrupt news activist in the Democrat Socialist Propagandist Media actively promotes when their champion loses, even with all the advantages of a corrupt Propagandist Media at their colluded command. This happens in every election since the 2000 general election, when Al the-bore Gore finally lost Florida, and that election.
From this article and many others, I have this one original thought: If America wishes to end this continued bad behavior, end the the Multiple Tiered Justice System by ending the Corrupt Democratic Socialist Propagandist Media, who cannot tell the truth, and will not report what is real. For that to happen, Americans will first need to turn their backs to wanton corruption and active stupidity, and make these two damning entities as if they are gone for good!

The point of question 2 was to emphasize that although parents have rights, no one parent has the right to make decisions for everyone. A school system cannot cater to the crazies on either side and should be open to including a diverse perspective not just the dominant culture's perspective. best of luck to you.

Thanks Carl. My immediate impression of Secretary Folwell is that of a governing yeoman of great energy, and the insightful ambition to succeed at what many might consider mundane, but most necessary tasks.
As someone who understands the "nuts and bolts" of the good governing process, I found his attitude of striving for excellence an exceptional inspiration.

Great interview, Stan, thanks for doing and publishing it. It is hard to understand why all voting North Carolinians are not in step with me in supporting Dale Folwell for Governor. I know a bit about his major competitor and there is no comparison. Dale and his lovely wife Synthia, continue to do their primary jobs during the campaign, not so much MR who is seldom doing his job as Lt. Governor instead of campaigning and fund raising, often out of state. Dale is the “real deal” and has my total support.

Commented on What is wrong with a conservative curriculum? There goes Bigot Bob again with his anti-white racism. He must really hate those honkies. The 1619 Project is NOT history, and even its author admits that. Bigot Bob wants Marxist fairy tales taught as "history". His heroes in the old Soviet Union had a saying that "history is on our side" as they made up history out of whole cloth. Bigot Bob is not much different.

Hopefully, Fani Willis will lose her job and law license over this. It would be nice if she is also jailed. It is un-American to try to jail your side's political opponents and the contacts that she and others of her office have had with the Biden White House and Pelosi's partisan J6 committee reveal clearly that the charges against Trump are a political bushwhacking. Public officials who abuse their office the way Fani Willis is doing for brazenly political purposes need to be severely punished to stop it from happening again. Stalin Show Trials do NOT need to come to America.

Commented on Asheville's electric bus waste of moneyHere is an honest question. I notice that most MAGA conservatives will dislike anything perceived as liberal. Example, you point out problems in electric cars. That's fair. They have drawbacks.
But, you never seem to have an issue with status quo. As in never a bad word for fossil fuel cars. They have drawbacks too. Do you think it wise to oppose any and all progress just to keep burning FFs the rest of your lives? Are you willing to cut your nose off to spite your face? I could give countless examples. What gives? Change happens. Nothing stays the same.
