I cannot believe I am saying this, but here goes: Because of President Trump and his Trumpian political values, I think California may be salvageable.

Why don't we just trade the Peoples Republic of California to Canada for Alberta and Saskatchewan. If the two Canadian provinces do not want to be part of the United States, just give California to Canada with the understanding that the U.S. will support Alberta and Saskatchewan independence. I think that would be good for all involved.

The Beaufort County School Board has made a conscious decision, under this administration to make communication by transparency an extremely low priority, and in particular here in the digital space.
My words here are exact, as I know as much as anyone else in this county regarding this particular subject.

Van Zant: I often hate that I am so often right with my innate "long vision," and then, for the most part, I am glad that I can see so clear eyed what is happening, while knowing well how it should be.
Adam O'Neal is a great Republican, and being so vehemently admonished by the rouge components of the Beaufort County GOP must be like a badge of honor for the former, and very popular still, Mayor of Belhaven.

After doing just a bit of research on this I've concluded that it is the folks pretending to be the BC Republican Executive Committee that are the ones way out of line. Been calling some of the Repub. Exec. Committee members. None of them have addressed this or the School Board member stuff either. I have heard references to some sort of shadow committee that was created by the Executive Committee before the last Republican Convention. If you read the Republican PoO all of this is not legal according to their own rules. Even if this was a current committee, which they are not, they would still have to report to the committee at large.
It appears that the things these people are accusing Mr. O'Neal of are things they are guilty of themselves. Beaufort County has its own political mafia.

Commented on Kings and QueensIt is a long and tortured story, and what bothers me, as a public person and as somewhat of a journalist by public need, it is the long story about the abject failure of education, mainly public education, here in our Representative Republic.
Many corrections must be made, and the backsliding that far too often we see here locally is not helpful. As far as educational funding is concerned, the public would be best serve to fund what education that works best. The Snowden debacle was truly a terrible example of intellectual malfeasance.

This issue with a school bus is so much more significant than the local nothingburger school bus escapade, yet the media beat the local one to death and NC media are ignoring this one.

Commented on Kings and QueensSo, here is what we have learned:
1. The BC School Superintendent continues to find ways to attack anyone not jumping through his hoops. 2. The mainstream media is happy to take his script and run with it without recognizing the real story. 3. Some BC Republican Party leaders pretend they can speak for the entire party, and again, the mainstream media helps them do it. 4. The Beaufort County Republican Party Executive Committee is left with the mess and the quandary of what to do with it.

Now it is Virginia's Fraternal Order of Police who have called VA Democrat AG nominee Jones "not fit for office" and demanded he withdraw from the race.

There is also a federal criminal law that makes harboring illegal aliens a felony. Leaders of sanctuary cities need to be prosecuted and jailed under that law. Lock them up!

WOW! A MSM mouthpiece, MSNBC's's Joe Scarborough, has now called for that Virginia AG candidate to drop out of the race after calling for the assassination of a GOP rival. "Morning Joe" is a usual woke voice for the left, but he seems to have some common sense on rejecting those who promote political violence. www.dailymail.co.uk

That boondoggle with the 4 acres of land they did not actually own that the new school is being built upon, and the half million dollar bandaid that had to be applied to it should be a red flag that maybe everything is not as it should be in Beaufort County Schools finances. I wonder if that is why the local school board member who asks the most financial questions, Stacey Davis, came under attack recently by the school superiintendant?

I read here where Don Phipps has been hired to help Forsythe County straighten out their many problems in that former Sanctuary County.
I hope this will be a good match because I well know Don Phipps; he is a good, honest, and smart man. Together, we built the greatest informational platform that Beaufort County Schools has ever had, and will probably ever have, and we did it at the greatest value ever created for any digital platform in the history of Beaufort County. I respect Don Phipps greatly as a superintendent and as a man, and my humble opinion is that Superintendent Phipps may be too good for that former Sanctuary County of Forsyth; however, I hope it works, especially for Don Phipps and his family, uprooted from Caldwell County.

Isn't conspiring against the civil rights of Americans a federal crime, a felony? Shouldn't Democrats who conspire against our First Amendment right of free speech be indicted and jailed?

States like North Carolina should look to the solution to this problem identified by Poland's populist right Law and Justice Party. They put forward a law that allowed any Polish citizen whose posts complied with Polish law but had them removed by a major internet platform to sue that platform in Polish courts for a million euros per incident. This made censorship of Poles potentially very expensive for those major internet platforms. North Carolina could do the same for posts of North Carolinians which comply with North Carolina law, letting anyone sue those major platforms in North Carolina courts for a large amount of damages.

RINO Hunter: As I am fixing to register for re-election, in December, to keep my constituents' hard fought county commissioner seat, I would like to have the help of the Beaufort County GOP, and all their self-defined leaders; however, it probably will not be necessary. I always govern as if I am my constituents - hard working taxpayers, living outside the box = and that is why I depend so much on Beaufort County's real Republicans, like Adam O'Neal, Hood Richardson, Steve Rader, Ray Leary, and so many more folks, too numerous to mention,
Because the Beaufort County GOP is infamous for mainly supporting RINOs, most times, of late, I innately understand that I must go it alone, but, I wish I do not to get elected here in my home county for so many decades.

Calling for the resignation of a corrupt Democrat politician who had just been caught with his hands in the cookie jar of abuse of power is one thing, but calling for the resignation of an elected official of your own party based on a hit job from the bureaucracy is another.

Befuddled: Garris calling for the resignation of Donald Sadler was a test....that's all I'll say. The whole Brabo controlled op was and is, in fact, a controlled op. You never forget someone who refuses the olive branch......Trump Strategy 101. It's my opinion that Brabo controls, by proxy, a majority of the Big 5 but that's another story.
Davisgate was an attempted hitjob by a contingency of the GOP who hates Trump Conservatism across the board. Kidwell and Garris don't have the brainpower to spearhead such an operation; they're near sighted opportunists that don't understand "The Art of The Deal". I don't know enough about the O'Neal incident to comment on it. Million Dollar question: Is the County Manager planning to install Brabo and those she may/may not control after Uncle Donnie's term runs out? Brabo obviously doesn't like the terms:"Farrahkrats" and "Gestapo". The truth speaks for itself. Will any of this transpire or will I look like I'm batsh** crazy? I'll bet a mark..
