Mental Health commitment proceedings can remove a crazy person from instruments of harm to themselves or others, and not just guns. They can also commit a crazy person to a mental health facility. That was what was needed in the Maine case but nobody did it.

Also, mass shootings usually happen in gun free zones, where the shooter expects that no one will be armed to shoot back. The bowling alley in this case was, you guessed it . . . a gun free zone. www.breitbart.com

I agree. Just because a person posts on social media that they are going to kill so and so, bomb something, shoot up a school or kill their family does not give anyone the right to investigate and confiscate their guns. We have the right to say anything. And I say, more guns. Unless the police have a body they got nothing. Stand strong. As soon as we plant those folks up in Maine, this will all be forgotten.

Apparently he was a known nut job, and nobody could take away his guns. Which I think is great. The only possible solution is more guns. The violence we see today is a direct result of liberals infringing on our second amendment rights. Zero gun control is the only answer. Those dead people in Maine are probably actors in on the plot. Big Bob the only time I have ever been violent is when I played Middle Linebacker some years ago, and yes, I would hit my opponents just as hard as I could muster, but that was then.

Also, back in the days when there was real bullying, I never backed down from a fight that I did not pick; and I would not now, if not absolutely necessary, to only defend myself, and those under my care.

But, don't be too frightened of me now, and don't be too frightened of those true Americans most like me: We don't pick fights; but we will end them as quickly as is possible, and always in the perfect posture of inescapable defense.

Not that many years ago Republicans and Democrats would have agreed on a secure border. Republicans have kept the faith with the American people, while Democrats have marched off to the extreme left.

I remember in Scot Brown's successful campaign for US Senate in Massachusetts, he made a video ad from a issue-filled campaign speech of President Kennedy. The video started with Kennedy giving the speech and morphed in the middle to Brown finishiing it. It illustrated on issue after issue, including immigration, that the positions of today's Republicans are what sensible Democrats espoused not very long ago.

It was also interesting in all the commentary on Sen. Diane Feinstein's death that a video of her speaking on border secutiry and illegal immigration from early in her Senate service surfaced, and she sounded like Preisent Trump today.

The Democrats have moved to the far left on illegal immigration and that is a threat to America.

Polls clearly show the American voters are fed up with the far left's open borders that are allowing swarms of illegal aliens to flood in, just like they are showing the same in Europe. Not long ago, most Democrats also followed the same ideas of border security that you now call "far right". Conservatives have not moved on that, and our position is still mainstream. One of the first acts when patriotic Americans get control of our government back should be appointing a Special Prosecutor to investigate and indict those responsible for thwarting America's duly adopted immigration laws. Biden, Harris, and Mayorkas are obvious targets, as are many lower politial appointees at DHS. There are already felonies written into our immigration laws that can be charged, as well as being accessories to human smuggling, and even high treason. Obama is the ringleader of all of this, and every effort should be made to bring him into the net and jail him. Given the enormous cost to America of their promoting illegal migration, none of these scoundrels should EVER get out of prison.
