The perspective that is the gold standard is actually from a prominent black leader, Dr. Martin Luther King who declared that people "should be judged by the content of their character, not the color of their skin". Anyone who looks at people through the prism of race is a racist whether it is on the DEI side or the KKK side. Same difference, Bigot Bob.

I think its more, when your perspective is only white, everything else is threating and feels like racism.

The concept and practice of divide and conquer has been around for a long time. Modern-day race hucksters are selling racism with a new twist. Contemporary power-mongers engage in this strategy just as much as their predecessors. They love perpetual bigotry because it gives them power to exert over others while making the others weaker because they are divided. The diabolic notion of inclusion while simultaneously excluding and Balkanizing is something we see everywhere nowadays. Beware DEI. The dictionary definitions of these words are not bad things. The modern-day use of these words can mean something else entirely. Be aware that there are people working very hard to control you.

What? THe only poster on these boards who wants to make everything about race, obsesses about race, wants to throw around the term "racist"?? Maybe he ought to look ini a mirror.

Own it, Bigot Bob. Your Democrats created Jim Crow as a political power play. Republicans opposed it and voted against it. And don't hit that bottle of Old Crow too hard.

Jim Crow is a prime example of how Democrats will stoop to anything to gain and maintain political power, just as they are trying now with their Stalinesque "lawfare" against President Trump. The Democrats ginned up Jim Crow to use obscene racial hatred they created to regain and maintain power.

Democrat leaders did not suddenly wake up one morning and decide they hated black people. Instead, it was a cold, calculated, and cynical gambit that was totally a political power play. After the end of Reconstruction and those who had fought for southern independence could vote again, politics in North Carolina was a choice between Democrats who had fought for the south or supported that fight and Repubicans, who were Union sympathizers That math worked to give Democrats majorities.

Then the Populist Party came along, without any roots in the War Between the States but more on current economic issues of the working class and small farmers. That mostly ate into the Democrat vote, and when the Populists got together with the Republicans in the fusion campaign of 1896, they beat the Democrats.

The Democrats launched their white supremacy platform for the 1898 legislative election for the purpose of winning back the almost entirely white Populist voters by making the election about race. The Democrats injected white supremacy into that election for one goal, the cut down the Populist vote and bring those voters back to their party. It worked and they regained legislative control.

Then they launched the second part of their scheme to break the back of their major opponent, the Republican Party by suppressing a significant part of its voter base, the black voters. The Democrats did that in 1899 with their newly restored legislative majority by passing election laws that created a literacy test, a poll tax, and a grandfather clause.

Generating racial strife through Jim Crow laws was never really about race with the Democrats. It was about political power. It shows that Democrats will do the most obscene and evil things for political power.

We are seeing the same side of Democrats today with open borders, wokeness, and abuse of courts to attack their political enemies. It is the Democrats who are the threat to democracy and always have been.

The historical facts are clear. In North Carolina, it was the Democrats who introduced and passed Jim Crow, while the Republicans and Populists voted against it. That may be highly inconvenient for the modern far left, but it is a historical fact.

RH, racism has no party. If democrats were still clinging to the past as republicans do now, I'd be a republican. You don't see me all upset when they removed Aycock's name from buildings. We can't change the past but we can do better.

Bobbie does not want to 'fess up that it was HIS party, the Democrats who brought Jim Crow to North Carolina. Charles Aycock and his Red Shirts. It was the Republicans (and the Populists) who voted against the Jim Crow laws when the Democrats introduced them in the legislature. Look it up, Bobbie.

Correction, Bigot Bob, YOU are the one making stuff up. You won'r accept what I have to say, but even leftwing Wikipedia says Jim Crow was from the turn of the century (NOT 1865) to 1965 (NOT today). en.wikipedia.org

Lets look at how Jim Crow came to North Carolina, for example. For about 15 years starting in 1865, North Carolina was under northern military occupation, called Reconstruction, and that regime was highly favorable to blacks, except perhaps to the blacks who had fought in the Confederate army or navy. After Reconstruction ended, there was a relative balance in society.

Then in the 1896 election, the "fusion" ticket of the Republicans, then the party of most black voters, and the Populists, won the governorship with Republican Daniel Russell and a majority of the legislature, also electing a fusion US Senator. The Democrats responded with a white supremacy campaign, with a racist goon squad called the Red Shirts. The Democrats ran the 1898 legislative campaign on a platform of white supremacy and won a majority. In 1899, they passed a voter registration law with a literacy test, poll tax, and grandfather clause, the first of NC's Jim Crow laws. In 1900, Democrat Charles Aycock, who had helped plan the racial pogrom at Wilmington, beat the Republican / Populist candidate for governor. After Aycock took office in 1901, the white supremacy Democrats had all the levers of power and they went whole hog on Jim Crow.

BTW, the big annual Democrat Party dinner in North Carolina until not too many years ago was the Vance / Aycock dinner, and the Aycock in the name was the very same Charles Aycock.

Wow, 1865 until now? Bigot Bob really is into that bottle of Old Crow. Even one of the prime left wing sources, Wikipedia (whose founder has denounced it as "badly biased to the left") says that Hun Crow started around the turn of the 19th to 20th century and ended in 1965.

Bigot Bob claims it is still going on today. Really? And he claims it started during Reconstruction, a time that many southern whites who fought for their independence were denied their civil rights and many southern legislatures had black majorities. Bigot Bob ought to learn his history a little better, but then, again, the far left is never bothered with facts because their little minds are already made up.

1865 until now. 100 plus years. And yes, you still benefit from Jim Crow today. Proof? Being so nice and white, you can deny it ever really happened or 'wasn't so bad'.

Thank you for conceding my point on the religion.

Bigot Bob uses Common Core math. Even using a leftwing source like Wikipedia, Jim Crow started around the turn of the century and ended in the early-mid 1960s. That is a little over a half century, NOT 100+ years as Bobbie contends. All of those impacted during their working lives are now well past retirement age. It has now been almost the same amount of time since it ended as while it existed. How long does Bigot Bob want the white man to be the whipping boy for the "woke" far left?

I think the religion you participate in requires repentance for wrongs. I know the one I take part in would say that. Even if it didn’t, sometimes you should do the right thing just because.

100 plus years of Jim Crow did a lot of damage. How do we fix it? Can we just walk away and say "my Bad' and pretend it never happened? Is that the right thing to do?
Commented: Sunday, December 17th, 2023 @ 10:38 am By: Big Bob
Good observation, Big Boob is not backing off his "two wrongs make a right" mentality. What a total jerk.

Appreciate the admission that Jim Crow was wrong. Mow if we can get to a a point where you can admit it's going to take work to undo the damage we did...we might get somewhere.

BTW: Most of you cursed MLK during his life.

So in your little mind, Little Bobbie, two wrongs DO make a right. Most of us do not think that way. Jim Crow was over half a century ago, and those who were under the Jim Crow era during their working lives are well past retirement age now. It is not a valid excuse for the outright racism of DEI.

Most of us believe that Martin Luther King got it right when he said in his famous "I have a dream" speech that people should be "judged by the content of their character, not the color of their skin."

DEI is just as racist as Jim Crow, and NO, two wrongs do NOT make a right.

And I will add the DEI is a direct outcome of Jim Crow. Had most of us not supported Jim Crow for as long as we did, we would be beyond it by now.

Stan, I didn't see that Little Bobbie was specifically attacking me, but those far left types generically consider anyone outside their little group a "hater", completely ignoring that the biggest haters out there are the far left themselves. The hypocrites, for example, at the Southern Poverty Law Center shrilly call lots of people "haters" but are, in fact, one of the biggest hate groups in America, themselves. And, yeah, Bobbie does show a big hatred of white people, which is the "new racism" practiced by the far left.

Big Bob: From reading the same words as you, I don't think John Steed hates any one. John may just hate stupidity in certain types.

I will admit, I hate the stupidity and corruption (little difference) in politicians and so-called journalists, but in politicians, I seek to remove them from doing any more damage than they have already done; however, I don't hate the person. Yes, it is their fault that they are NOT qualified for the position, but, I like to think that I am being helpful in helping them to find a new purpose along a different pathway, especially since their type are so responsible for all that is so wrong in America today.

Maybe John sees it the same way.

Your posts on here clearly indicate you hate everyone but white people.

Your posts here, Bolshevik Bob, clearly show that you hate white people, but you claim you are one. You are just one more self-loather on the far left, even if you will not admit it.
