SPN expert highlights victories against government bloat


    RALEIGH — As government agencies continue to push for growth, with the help of their special-interest allies and mainstream media outlets, advocates for free markets and limited government have to work hard to get their messages heard in the public policy debate.

    Todd Davidson, policy specialist for the State Policy Network, discussed the important role of free-market think tanks such as the John Locke Foundation during a presentation Monday for JLF's Shaftesbury Society.

    In the video clip below, Davidson recounts a free-market group's efforts to attract attention to an egregious case of forced unionization in Illinois.
