Rigging a BCN Poll Chicago Style | Eastern North Carolina Now

Beating the system is a great American pass time for both rich and poor.

There is considerable angst in the Liberal ranks about using a voter ID as being unfair and restricting access to the elections. I was just wondering if the use of a cell restricts someone's freedom of movement. Each cell phone has a unique identifier which identifies the phone, the location within a certain range and is trackable throughout the day.

Every time I go to the store, they ask me for my Kroger card which has the ability to track the date, time, store and what I bought. It also tracks total purchases so it can give me a discount when I buy gas at the front of the parking lot which also tracts date, time and amount of gas. The big computer in the sky could probably tell me how many MPG I get since I buy gas at the same station each time.

When I check out and use my Visa card, I get a text message from Bank Of America almost instantly telling me that my card was used to make a purchase. Once not too long ago I bought gas at the Kroger near my house, drove to Decatur Ga which is 45 miles away, had lunch with the family, Went to Walmart and bought groceries for my daughter, and then while sitting at her house I ordered something from Amazon prime. Not only did I get a text but I got a phone call from BOA asking me if I were traveling because my Visa usage was out of the my normal traveling area and random purchase made at multiple locations. All this happened within the space of about three hours.

Stan put up a Poll, and the premise of the poll is about the abortion question, where the mechanics of the voting process is that you can only vote once from each IP address. Since I have an iconoclastic personality, I commented. He here is the trail of comments:

I just left the local library but before I left, I went down the row of computers set up for patrons and voted on the poll on each terminal, the results should post soon. 20 hits for my side. Hey if a Gene can vote for JFK at 14 years old, I should be able to use the Chicago vote now and vote often technique.

Just kidding, but on the writers poll, instead suggest you post 3 answers and let Gene vote on the questions, you'll get more hits than you could possible imagine.

Thank-you for your effort, B.T., but for future reference, I am sure that this only counted as one vote because all of those computers are on one IP address. I think I smell a minimalist, but humorous B.T. post coming soon, on this subject, to a BCN near you.

Stan, what if I drove through the neighborhood and surfed the Wifi at each house and voted? I don't think any of the routers are secured because that would require memorizing a password and I know for a fact that would never fly in this retirement community. Everyone has to wear their ID card at the club house. They say it is to keep strangers out but each day I've noticed a whole bunch of new people there. I think they are sharing nametags or at best they use them to remember who they are.

Not only would that work, but this sounds like a core tenant of a robust Bobby Tony tale.

Well you get the idea. I suspect that Stan may be secretly working for homeland security. The reason I suspect this is that his SNI (Symbiotic Networks Inc.) has the ability to track who is signed in to BCN, how long they have been signed in and the number of comments and post as well as the number of people who have viewed the post. I am not a conspiracy type of guy but one of the posters here believes that the system or Stan in person will automatically pull their post when they reach 150 views and hide it behind some clown picture or some old guy who refuses to post his real picture.

Now, I will close with a few observations and maybe a question or two. (ending a post with a question is a technique called Socratic Method and it apparently is a high fluting way of appearing smart).

If BCN can do all that, and Visa can do all that, and Kroger can do all that, Why can't the Federal Government track a single social security number to see how many checks are being cashed for dead people?

In Georgia we have a food Stamp program called SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program). I wonder if they can track those all the particulars of the users. Not too long ago I was in Publix in Decatur with some groceries and a guy came up and ask me if he could buy my groceries with his SNAP card. I asked him why and he said, I'll buy you food with the card and you give me cash for the total of the bill. I declined and he moved back down the line asking each person the same thing. No one seemed to mind. I left and never knew if he hit the jackpot.

Newt had a solution to the immigration problem. Just send a package to every illegal alien and let Fed Ex or UPS deliver it and follow them. They can track a packager from warehouse to truck to neighborhood to door in real time.

I order stuff from Amazon prime. I have tracking set on for my IPhone. When they deliver the package, I get a text message.. All I have to do is get off my butt, walk 30 feet or so to the front door, open it and pick up my package.

If you are lost at this point do not worry, so am I. I am trying out a new technique called rambling along on and on and on about a subject no one cares about. Most of my post are that way but it could be that BCN is moving my post around a lot so no one will see them. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

poll#82
Considering the horror of Planned Parenthood's marketing of aborted fetus body parts for fun and profit: Should congress continue to work to negate the public finding of this barbaric behavior?
80.81%   Yes, congress should continue to strive to stop public funding of a woman's very private personal business.
14.14%   No, public funded abortion is very important for women's reproductive rights and should all pay for it.
5.05%   I am a nihilist, and I really don't care.
99 total vote(s)     Voting has Ended!
