    The public got an opportunity to meet and hear candidates for the city council in Washington at a Candidates' Forum last night (9-15-11). The event was sponsored by the Conservative Republicans' Club of Beaufort County and was held in the Beaufort County Courthouse. All candidates except Gil Davis and Richard Brooks attended.

    Kellie Hopkins, Director of the Beaufort County Board of Elections, moderated. After opening statements, representatives of the media asked questions to which each candidate responded. You can hear the presentations and the Q&A in the videos below.
