Press Release:

Raleigh, NC     In light of the new details today on the $1.3 billion cash payment to Iran, it's important to point out that Deborah Ross, a candidate for the United States Senate, has not made a single mention of the Iran ransom payment since the initial Wall Street Journal story on August 3rd. Ross has not mentioned her support for the disastrous Iran Nuclear Deal and she is one of the only candidates in the country running for U.S. Senate that hasn't weighed in on the Iran ransom payment. It's time for Deborah Ross to make her position on the payment clear to North Carolina voters and explain to them why she still stands by providing funding to the largest state-sponsor of terrorism.

Here is a detailed rundown of Ross' repeated avoidance over the last 35 days since the initial story about the secret Iran ransom payment was announced:

Senator Burr: Well let me just say this: It alarms me as the Chairman of the Intelligence Committee that something of this magnitude was not briefed to me-not only prior to the exchange, but since the exchange. Only through, in this case, the Wall Street Journal did the American people know the truth about what was committed by the American government to the Iranian government.
