RINO Justice? GOP Superior Court Judge Endorsed by Hillary Clinton's Political Machine | Eastern North Carolina Now

    Super RINO: A Republican who accepts and promotes the support of a Democrat.

    A Forsyth County, North Carolina, Superior Court judge, who was recently appointed by a Republican governor, may find that an endorsement from Democrats for Hillary Clinton, is a two-edged sword. That's especially true in today's political environment when that judge is facing a challenge from a Winston-Salem lawyer who embraces conservative values, supports the Constitution and doesn't support judicial activism.

    51-year-old Judge Eric Morgan, campaigning for his first term as a member of the Forsyth County Superior Court has even been running TV ads showing the support of a retired Democrat activist judge.


    "It's one thing to be a RINO, but being endorsed by Hillary Clinton's political machine is not going to endear Morgan with the conservative grassroots activists," said Michael Baker, a retired police officer and political consultant. "Hillary Clinton is enduring almost half the voters asking for her imprisonment - 'lock her up' - which might just happen!"

    The timing of the endorsement is also suspect as well. It came after Morgan convinced the local Republicans to include him on their Palm Card, which was widely distributed, and just as Early Voting started, leaving little time to educate the voter. Many want to know what was said and/or promised that would inspire the unprecedented endorsement by Hillary's camp, in a local judicial campaign.

    Here's a political fact. Candidates get the support of those who agree with their agenda; and/or when they expect something in return. Eric Morgan's agenda must align with that of Hillary Clinton, or Democrats expect to gain if Morgan wins this race. Judges who manipulate the truth or at least insinuate favoritism demean the role they are supposed to fill.

    Of all things, people expect their judges to be fair and honest. Blatant manipulation of two opposing platforms, even in politics, is misrepresentation. Morgan cannot be both a conservative Republican and a Hillary Clinton styled Democrat.

    As the reader can see in the social media announcement, the local sect of the Clinton-Kaine campaign "adamantly support and recommend" Morgan. "Here's a man who claims to be a conservative being embraced by a presidential campaign which continues to move the Democratic Party to the far left. These are the people who want unfettered abortion, men wearing dresses using the women's restrooms, children being indoctrinated with leftist propaganda and open borders for anyone including radical Muslims to enter the United States," said Karl Leathener, a former police detective. "Why would these people endorse, support and vote for a conservative Republican?"

    "The answer is simple: they don't; which quite simply means Eric Morgan is not a conservative Republican," Leathener added.

    Morgan is opposed by Jonathan Dills, former Forsyth County GOP General counsel and former Republican member of the Forsyth County Board of Elections.
