We Ought to be More Understanding of the Plight of the Fundamentalist Islamic Terrorists | Eastern North Carolina Now

Fundamentalist Islamic Terrorists really have a problem that is hard for us to understand but we ought to try.

I have devoted much time to this issue. I have thought long and hard and I now feel I am comfortable that I have discovered the true reason why the Fundamentalist Islamic Terrorists are the way they are.

It has to do with a combination of built up Guilt, Anger and Confusion that is brought about because they are all named Mohammad.

Don't laugh. This is a serious problem.

Imagine you are 10 years old, your name is Mohammad and you have always tried to do the right thing. However, you are full of Guilt, Anger and Confusion because you keep getting blamed for so many bad things that happen all over the world. Somehow you feel personally responsible for each and every one of these bad things.

For you the camel's back is broken one morning as you are eating your corn flakes when you are confronted with one newspaper headline after another that makes you cringe...

    • Mohammad kills next door neighbor.
    • Mohammad embezzled millions from an old folk's home.
    • Mohammad molests a 12-year-old girl.
    • Mohammad molests a 12-year-old boy.
    • Mohammad caught praying only 4 times a day.
    • Mohammad takes candy from a baby.

Do you get my point? Guilt...Anger...Confusion rule the day. In frustration little Mohammad says to his little self, "I feel terrible because of all the bad things I do. I think I will go blow something up."

The bottom line is, there are just too many Mohammad's and not enough George's. If only George Foreman were one of them. He and his children (all named George) could be the tipping point and just might save the world.

    Would I kid you?

Lagniappe: To add confusion to confusion, even the spelling of "Mohammad" is confusing. If you stumble around the Internet, you will find "Mohammad" spelled differently all over the place. We have the 2 "m's" with an "ad" at the end and the 2 "m's" with an "ed" at the end. You will also find it spelled with a single "m" and an "ed" at the end. No wonder little Mohamed or Mohammed or Mohammad is so full of Guilt, Anger and Confusion!
