In Commissioner Deatherage's Campaign for Re-election, as your Conservative County Commissioner, Washington Mayor Pro Tem Nick Fritz endorsed Candidate Stan Deatherage to remain in office to lead a Conservative renaissance here in Beaufort County.

Beaufort County District Attorney Thomas D. Anglim disclosed that Ryan Austin Stalls was convicted of two counts attempted murder and one count of attempted first degree ex offense and first-degree kidnapping following a guilty plea in Beaufort County on December 9, 2025.
On December 22, 2025, Deputies from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the Aurora/Richlands area for a report of a foul odor coming from inside a rental property where a tenant had previously moved out.
Government and its bureaucracy are not perfect, and never has been in this self-governed society, here at the local level, at our state level, and at our federal level, therefore, it is incumbent upon all elected politicians to seek a comfortable level of representation for our constituents.

The Thursday, January 8th meeting of the Beaufort County Republican Executive Committee ended after Washington City police were called to the Beaufort County Ag Center at the request of Committee Chair Carolyn Garris.
Today's weather updates have suggested slightly warmer temperatures for our area than was previously forecasted, which is shifting significant snow and freezing rain accumulations further west and north.

It's been an interesting few weeks! It seems that now is a good time to give any interested parties and update on what has been going on with the Washington City Council.
Knowing candidates and voting is just as necessary in primaries as in general elections.
The State Board of Elections will hold an in-person meeting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, in the Board Room of the Third Floor of the Dobbs Building, 430 N. Salisbury St., Raleigh, NC 27603.

Sarah McLachlan has always been a guilty pleasure of mine. As an impassioned "rocker," with somewhat of a sentimental streak, I have always dug talented balladeers, especially the females.
We had one filer today, Kelly Cox, Republican for Beaufort County Sheriff. On the state level, Margo Dupre, Republican for US Senate.
We did not have any filers yesterday or today at our office. There are additional filers at the state level I have attached the state list.
