   Press Release:

Good afternoon:

The Good News: Florence has been downgraded to a Low Pressure system and lost all tropical characteristics.

The not so Good News: This Afternoon/Tonight/Tomorrow, we need to stay vigilant as it concerns the weather. The Severe Thunderstorms we are told to expected during this timeframe will be slow movers with vivid lightning and large amounts of rainfall. They will not resemble the popcorn type of showers we had this past weekend. The rainfall will cause severe ponding on roadways and possible localized flash flooding while affecting visibility greatly. Please do not stop in the highway to wait out the storm or pull off under a tree for protection. I urge you to make sure your field staffs are weather aware during the next several days of field operations and on your commute home each evening.

I know most of you are not NASCAR fans, however, a hard lesson was learned yesterday concerning lightning. One person was killed, two people are on life support and seven others are in various stages of recovery from cloud to ground lightning which struck their vehicles in the parking lot at Pocono Speedway.

First Responders need to use caution during responses and defensive driving techniques are required. Getting there safely is the first priority, then taking protective actions on the scene is the next priority. How well you perform the first two could determine if getting home safely can be your third priority!

This is a Weather Awareness Statement from your friendly Coordinator of Emergency Services made following a conversation with the Senior Weather Forecaster at the National Weather Service in Morehead, NC.

Thank You for your service to the tax payers of Beaufort County! (That applies to all County Employees and First Responders in Beaufort County!)

Taxmageddon' Will Cost N.C. Taxpayers Billions Public Issues, Government, Governing Beaufort County City Argues That Courts Have No Power To Alter Tax Policies

Latest Governing Beaufort County

Bureaucrats believe they set policy for spending taxpayer dollars usurping the directions of elected officials.
Has the local government acted responsibly and transparently?
Beaufort County Commissioners meet, and work by a majority vote to do the business of those constituents they purport to represent.
Waste, fraud, abuse and incompetence continue to govern county school budgets and decision making.

However, if one believes that Beaufort County government is in full command of the issues of our times, here locally, one might need to steel their resolve for a more perfect understanding of the intellect possessed by the Center-Left /Left Coalition.
To borrow a big phrase from this salient plan originating at the federal level, under President Trump's watchful eye, whose time has finally arrived, even here in the mispent realm of Beaufort County government(s).
When President Trump professes "America First," he absolutely means it to his core, and to our benefit as a Representative Republic, which is a welcome change from the previous administration of Idiot President Biden; America's second Non Patriot President.
