Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)
News Release:

    Good Afternoon Everyone,

    You are receiving the attached message and email below from Beaufort County's EOC as a method of keeping you informed about our county's response to COVID-19.

    Beaufort County has had 41 new cases since last Friday (11/12).

    Vaccine Appointment Availability:

    Beaufort County's Health Department also has appointments available beginning Monday 11/22 for individuals wishing to receive their 1st dose of the Moderna, J&J or Pfizer vaccines.

    Appointments are also available on Monday 11/22 for Immunocompromised individuals eligible for a 3rd dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines.

    Appointments are available as early as Thursday 12/2 for individuals eligible for a Pfizer, Moderna and J&J booster shots.

Latest Governing Beaufort County

Beaufort County has had 65 new cases since last Monday (11/29).
First, I want to thank Commissioner Hood Richardson for bringing Sheriff Coleman's out of control spending and abuse of the overtime budget line item to my attention.
I have been following the Sheppard case and the Franks case the last couple of years with a somewhat dispassionate interest. The wheels of justice grind and they do grind slow.

As Beaufort County's premier internet related company, Symbiotic Networks (SNI), we create the highest quality representation of the Beaufort County Commissioners' general meeting of August, 2021 to provide for the public's complete awareness of their most important local government.
The Beaufort County Commissioners will get another bite at the patriotic apple, a fruit they far too often hold in great disdain, to pass this necessary resolution.
While the chairman of the Beaufort County Commissioners is certainly not "the captain of the ship", he should at least be capable of managing the conclusion of a contentious commissioners' general meeting, without storming off in a huff, unexcused.
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services will begin accepting applications through county social services departments for the state's Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) today.
Beaufort County's Commissioners, by virtue of the Police Committee, began to investigate the possibilities of whether a county police force would be viable as a supplement to a smaller Sheriff's office.

Not unlike Pontus Pilot "washing his hands" rather than preserve the innocence of Jesus Christ when the Sanhedrin wanted Him dead, the Beaufort County Commissioners voted 4 to 3 to decline action in a matter that begged to be investigated.
