Stan Deatherage is the Proven Choice for Beaufort County Conservatives | Eastern NC Now

Pete Benton endorses Stan Deatherage in his re-election bid to continue on the Beaufort County Commission in the May 17th Repulican Primary.

    Over 200 years ago, then Vice President John Adams said, "In considering those for public office, we must choose men of high moral character to serve". He went on to say, "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other". Our founding fathers warned us over 200 years ago that freedom was just one generation away from extinction and that we must be ever vigilant in protecting it from the hands of tyrants! For freedom has a price and we must be willing to pay for it to keep it!

    In a letter to President Donald J. Trump, Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano wrote, "In recent months, we have been witnessing the formation of two opposing sides that I would call Biblical: the children of the light and the children of the darkness. The children of light constitute the most conspicuous part of humanity, while the children of the darkness represent an absolute minority. And yet the former are the object of a sort of discrimination which places them in a situation of moral inferiority with respect to their adversaries, who often hold strategic positions in government, in politics, in the economy and in the media. In an apparently inexplicable way, the good are held hostage by the wicked and by those who help them either out of self interest or fearfulness".

    Now more than ever, America needs to carefully and judiciously pick men and women who are true Christian Patriots with a servant's heart to make this blessed Nation that Shining City Upon the Hill which Ronald Reagan conceived over 40 years, ago. Here in Beaufort County, we have such a man - Stan Deatherage. As the election process for Beaufort County Commissioner is forthcoming in this primary, I encourage all residents to put their faith and trust in Stan because he is truly a Conservative and a Patriot, who loves America with a heart to serve his country. My trusted friend, Stan Deatherage, has served as a county commissioner stretching over 3 decades here in Beaufort County, and has been elected three times as a non incumbent, a local record for all Republicans in the history of Beaufort County.

    Stan believes in honesty, hard work, accountability and always doing the right thing for the people. Now more than ever, America needs men and women who share Stan's real Conservative values, vision, principles and the governing virtues of always abiding by the constitutions (the US and NC Constitutions) that he is sworn to protect and defend. John Adams also said, "The destiny of America is to carry the gospel of Jesus Christ to all men everywhere".
