BCCC offers workshop on change in the work place | Eastern North Carolina Now

Press Release:

Business and Industry Services at Beaufort County Community College will offer a workshop to help employees and business owners deal with change in the work place 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, in Room 828 of Building 8 on the BCCC campus.

Mike Collins, president of The Perfect Workday Co., is the instructor for the workshop, titled, "I Didn't Sign On for This! Dealing with Constant Change in the Workplace."

Today's increasing pace of change can create a personal and work life that mirrors the experience of standing on the baseline at a tennis court and having your opponent fire balls from a tennis cannon at you, according to Collins.

Collins will give participants insight into recognizing the effects of change on their organizations, ways to lower resistance to and more easily embrace change and moving on to the new reality.

Attendance is free of charge but pre-registration is recommended in order to reserve seating and to allow the college to adequately prepare materials.

To register, contact BCCC's Business and Industry Services at (252) 940-6375 or email Eva Peartree at evap@beaufortccc.edu.

For more information about other workshops and services offered by BCCC*s Business and Industry Services' Small Business Center, including targeted seminars for business owners, visit BCCC's Website at www.beaufortccc.edu/coned/Small Business/workshops.htm (http://www.beaufortccc.edu/coned/Small%20Business/workshops.htm ) or contact Lentz Stowe, director, at (252) 940-6306 or Lauren Spruill, coordinator of Customized Training, at (252) 940-6311.
