    Sunday, March 3, 2013       Mallard Creek Hike       2:00 pm

    Take a beautiful guided hike to our Mallard Creek pier. Please meet at the very last parking lot located in the park.

    Saturday, March 9, 2013       Legends, Stories and S'mores       6:00 pm

    Enjoy an evening around a campfire while listening to a ranger tell about local legends and stories. Ingredients for making s'mores will be provided. There will be some seating, but feel free to bring your chairs. Please dress appropriately for the weather and meet at the Group Campsite.

    Sunday, March 17, 2013       St. Patty’s Day “Going Green”       10:00 am

    Get your green on by recycling! Meet at the park's Visitor Center to learn about some fun and creative ways you can recycle and do your part to make our Earth a healthier place. There will be crafts for the children to do. Please call the park office at (252) 923-2191 to sign up.

    Saturday, March 23, 2013       Plant a tree for Arbor Day       9:00 am

    Join us for an Arbor Day celebration by helping us plant longleaf pines, also known as the Southeast’s OT (original tree). Please call the park office at (252) 923-2191 before Friday, March 21st to sign up. This event will last until 12 noon, but any time you spend with us (no matter how little it is) will be appreciated!!

    Saturday, March 30, 2013       Egg-stravaganza!!!       2:00 pm

    Bring your Easter baskets because Goose Creek State Park will be holding its second annual Easter celebration. We will host two Easter Egg Hunts. One hunt will be for ages 5 and under, and the other hunt will be for ages 6 to 11. There are only 12 spaces available for each hunt so please call the park office at (252) 923-2191 to sign up as soon as possible. Along with the hunts, we will be playing games and enjoying a wonderful afternoon outside. The fun will begin at the park's Visitor Center.

RALEIGH: Today, Governor Roy Cooper and North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (NCDNCR) Secretary Reid Wilson celebrated Earth Day by visiting Goose Creek State Park in Washington.
Washington, N.C. – The inaugural Rivers East Advanced Manufacturing Academy took place at Pitt Community College on Friday, September 23rd.
Please join us at the park visitor center on Saturday, October 8th from 3-5 pm where we will host a Halloween Wildlife Event.
