Winning Artist Announced for BCS Christmas Card
    Northeast Elementary fifth grader submits winning entry

    Congratulations to Matthew Marslender, a fifth grader at Northeast Elementary School, whose art work was chosen to appear on this year's Beaufort County Schools Christmas Card.

    Matthew got the news during a recent surprise visit to his classroom from Dr. Don Phipps, Beaufort County's Superintendent.

    The annual contest is a tradition in Beaufort County Schools. Each year different age groups are able to submit entries and the winning artwork will be the centerpiece of the superintendent's Christmas card for the year.
