Another Day, Another Kamala Word Salad That Tops All Others | Eastern North Carolina Now

    Are we 100% positive that those drugs found in the White House don't belong to Vice President Kamala Harris? That could help explain her latest word salad.

    On June 30, Harris appeared at the Essence Magazine "Festival of Culture" in New Orleans. Essence Magazine describes itself as "the premiere lifestyle, fashion and beauty magazine for African-American women." Since President Joe Biden used his affirmative action hire choice for veep on Harris, she is now seen as an expert of sorts - which must be why Essence invited her to chat about culture.

    At the event, Harris was asked to define culture, but her answer raised more questions. That clip is now going viral.

    "Culture is - it is a reflection of our moment and our time. Right? And present culture is the way we express how we're feeling about the moment and we should always find times to express how we feel about the moment," Harris said. "That is a reflection of joy. 'Cause you know...it comes in the morning."

    Now, to Harris' credit, she actually paraphrased the Bible in her response. Psalm 30:5 can be translated as, "Weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning." (emphasis added)

    "We have to find ways to also express the way we feel about the moment in terms of just having language and a connection to how people are experiencing life," she continued. "And I think about it in that way, too."

    Harris's public speaking skills have been a real treat to watch. It always follows a simple pattern. Unless she stays exactly on the script, she never has any idea what she's talking about. She putters along, spouting nonsensical phrases that sort of make sense and hopes the audience reacts to them. Once she gets even the slightest nod of approval, she starts laughing as if everybody is in on the joke.

    Now, say what you will about Harris, but in her own way she actually provided a defense of two cornerstones of any nation: All nations need defined language and culture to survive.

    The third key ingredient is borders. As border czar, Harris failed miserably in protecting our own. Perhaps if you're a Democrat, you might think she succeeded in flooding America with new party voters.

    Yet the main takeaway is that it seems even she understands the importance of having a common language and culture - even if she has trouble communicating exactly why that is.

  This is a silly over-concern by over-reactive Republicans.

  Never in the history of the Secret Service's protection of the White House, and its inhabitants, has a dangerous narcotic been found in such a secure location, and then so inadequately investigated.
