Press Release:

The Beaufort County Health Department will hold two drive-thru covid vaccine clinics over the next two weeks.

Clinics will be held October 30 and November 6 at the Beaufort County Health Department, located at 1436 Highland Drive, Washington, N.C. 27889. Both clinics will begin at 9 a.m., pause at noon, and then resume from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. No appointments are necessary.

The Health Department will be offering the Moderna covid vaccine to anyone 6 months and older. Anyone who hasn't received a covid shot in the last two months, is eligible to receive the updated vaccine.

    Supplies are limited.

Here are some things to know if you plan on coming to a drive-thru clinic:

  • Please bring your health insurance card with you.
  • The Health Department will file reimbursement claims for those covered by Medicare Part B, Railroad Medicare, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, N.C. Medicaid, N.C. Health Choice and Medcost.
  • For uninsured or self-pay, covid shots are $180. The cost of the covid shot will be billed to the client.
  • You can save time by filling out your covid form before visiting the drive-thru clinic. To obtain a covid form, visit BCHD.net and click on the "COVID" tab.

The vaccine is one of the greatest defenses against covid-19. The vaccine helps protect people by creating an immune response without the potentially severe illness or post-covid conditions that can be associated with covid-19 infection.

"We enjoy being able to provide vaccinations via drive thru. The drive-thru format creates a smooth, easy process for clients, as well as decreases barriers, such as time, scheduling, and access for those with mobility issues. The drive-thru allows us to see clients effectively and efficiently all within the convenience of one's vehicle." Octigan said.

Latest Governing Beaufort County

Has the local government acted responsibly and transparently?
Beaufort County Commissioners meet, and work by a majority vote to do the business of those constituents they purport to represent.
Waste, fraud, abuse and incompetence continue to govern county school budgets and decision making.

However, if one believes that Beaufort County government is in full command of the issues of our times, here locally, one might need to steel their resolve for a more perfect understanding of the intellect possessed by the Center-Left /Left Coalition.
To borrow a big phrase from this salient plan originating at the federal level, under President Trump's watchful eye, whose time has finally arrived, even here in the mispent realm of Beaufort County government(s).
When President Trump professes "America First," he absolutely means it to his core, and to our benefit as a Representative Republic, which is a welcome change from the previous administration of Idiot President Biden; America's second Non Patriot President.
We must vet, and elect those who will actually represent the people or we will be stuck with the same mess we have now.
