Israel’s Defense Minister: Gazans Can Help Us Shorten The War By Killing Top Hamas Leaders | Eastern North Carolina Now

    Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said over the weekend that Israel would not stop its operations against Hamas until the Palestinian Islamic terrorist group no longer existed, and he encouraged residents of Gaza to help Israel shorten the war by helping kill top Hamas leaders.

    Gallant's remarks come after Israel experienced a terrorist attack on October 7 that, when adjusted for population size, was reportedly equivalent to eight 9/11 attacks.

    Gallant said that Hamas had "no limits" with respect to just how barbaric and depraved they are.

    "The residents of Israel saw this on October 7 when they saw the severe murders, the abuse, the brutality, the atrocities, the rape, and the kidnappings," he said. "The heads of Hamas are responsible for this. We will reach them. We will reach [Gaza chief] Yahya Sinwar and eliminate him."

    "I say from here to the residents of Gaza, if you get him before us, it will shorten the war," he said, adding that by the time the war was over, "there will be no more Hamas in Gaza. There will be no more security threat from Gaza on Israel, and Israel will have absolute freedom to take whatever security action it seeks against anyone who raises their head in Gaza [to threaten it]."
