The media has been in full cover up mode the entire Biden presidency over his mental state and cognitive abilities. They have done that because the corrupt MSM media are partisan hacks who propagandize for the Democrats, and in this case for Biden, and they hate Republicans and especially Trump. No wonder polls repeatedly show that the American public regards the MSM media as politically biased and they don't trust it.
