This can be a Revolutionary Election Year | Eastern North Carolina Now

Who you vote for matters

Even the most unconcerned citizen is aware the November elections are going to determine whether our nation goes “right” or “left.”  If we go “right” we keep our Constitutional Republican form of government. If we go left, we sink deeper into what we have had during the past four years.  That is, American socialism headed for communism and the deeper intrusion of government into our daily lives.  Not all the communists are in Washington, DC.  There are millions of people, United States citizens, in every city, county and village across this country who are eagerly waiting for that cushy government job of policing their neighbors and friends’ daily lives if the “left” wins.

This article is directed toward conditions in Beaufort County, North Carolina.  However, every county in the United States has almost the same problems.

The recent interest our education system has taken in sex and children is alarming.  Their interest begins with kindergarten and goes thru the community college.  The secondary school system has been called out many times for their unnatural and abnormal emphasis on the sexual orientation of children.  Officials of the schools have repeatedly denied there was any teaching involving sexual orientation. However, evidence keeps being discovered about sexual orientation being taught in our schools.

Within the past few months, the Beaufort County Community College has started sponsoring an LGBT Plus Club on campus.  The College provides advertising and meeting rooms.  There is some incredible reasoning among many of our woke leaders to justify their support for exposing these young minds to these highly questionable behaviors.  We believe public property should not be used for this purpose.  We have seen Ministers of the Christian faith say this is acceptable because the Bible teaches us to love everyone.  We have seen elected officials say this is acceptable because the Constitution of the United States provides for free speech. Both these ministers and Constitutional experts are dead wrong.  They are dangerous to their churches and the public they represent.  These ministers and elected officials do not understand the difference between “right” and “wrong.”  They have no understanding, or warped views of the Bible or the Constitution.

We got this way because we elected the wrong people to public office.  We also ordained some of the wrong people into our religious affairs.  We cannot quickly do much about the church crowd.  But we do have an excellent opportunity to change the direction of government during the November elections.  By voting out useless and misguided school board incumbents we can change the education system.  By voting out useless and misguided county commissioners we can defund perverted sex education and appoint better people to the community college board.

Two conservative school board members were elected two years ago.  They have another two years to serve.  There are three conservatives running for election this year.  They have opposition.  They are: Malissa Polk, Stacey Davis and David Hudson.   Their opponents have served many years on the School Board.  Etha Booth, Mac Hodges and T. W. Allen are rubber stamps for our liberal, woke Superintendent.  The superintendent controls these members of the School Board.  Electing Polk, Davis and Hudson will give conservatives the majority of the Board.  The majority will then be able to tell the Big Cheese in no uncertain terms there will be no more sex orientation in the schools, we will teach cursive writing, classical mathematics, and we will have discipline with teachers in control of their classes. We may even buy a few books to teach from rather than the internet. If that does not happen the Big Cheese can find himself another job.  This will send the message to the Community College that the “cavalry is on the way.”

Commissioners Jerry Langley, John Rebholz and Randy Walker voted to support the LGBTQ Plus Club at the Beaufort County Community College.  This happened at the October Commissioners meeting.  All three are running for election.  Hood Richardson voted to against the LGBTQ Plus Club meeting on public property.  There are two conservatives running for the Beaufort County Board of Commissioners.  They are Tandy Dunn and Hood Richardson.  Vote for them.  If you know of someone who does not intend to vote then that is an opportunity to pair your vote with them and one vote for Hood and the other for Tandy.

Beaufort County conservatives have made some gains. It's no surprise that Richardson has been re-elected again. Now, conservative Tandy Dunn is on the county commission, too.

Of the three conservatives in the school board general election races, one of them beat a long-term board member. I'll take that as a victory, but the two that did not make it this time had a lot to offer. I hope to see them in the future.
