Here is the type of candidate put in elsewhere by same special interests involved in our Dist. 79 | Eastern NC Now

In the last primary, two special interests stuck their noses into Republican primaries.  Both of them were involved in buying our own 79th district House seat.  It is interesting to look at one of the other candidates one of these special interests bought a nominiation for.

The big gambling interests were the special interest to put their nose into the most districts against conservatives.  They used fake organizations with names that had the word "conservative" in them and never had any indication that they were gambling special interests.  In the 79th district, this PAC bought TV ads falsely accusing Rep. Keith Kidwell of raising taxes.

Another House district that the Big Gambling special interests stuck their noses and their big money into was House district 51, consisting of Lee County and part of Moore County, This was an open seat where staunch conservative Lee County School Board member and retired army colonel Sherry Womack faced RINO city council member Charles Taylor.  Big gambling put big money into an independent campaign for Taylor and against Womack.  Taylor won.  They bought this district just as they helped another special interest buy our district 79.

Now it comes out, weeks before the general election that Taylor had a close and personal relationship with gambling, and apparently of the illegal nature.  On his statement of economic interest that he had to file with the legislature, he only listed his home on real estate he owned, and only his city council salary and video production freelancing as sources of income.  Now it comes out that he owns an illegal gambling den right there in Lee County.  Failing to list that property ownership and income is an ethics violation before he ever even takes office.  Even worse there may be some criminal violations.

Hopefully, we will see the House ethics committee take action against Taylor to remove him from office, so we can get a conservative in that seat.
