BCCC hosts how-to on business start-up | Eastern North Carolina Now

    A workshop designed to help budding entrepreneurs start their own businesses will be offered 3 to 5 p.m., Monday, Jan.6, in Room 828 of Building 8 on the Beaufort County Community College campus.

    The class will help encourage individuals who have good business ideas to take them seriously and find out how to pursue them while avoiding costly and painful mistakes.

    Instructors with SCORE will discuss the following topics: Advantages and disadvantages of owning a business; Factors to be considered in starting a business; How to obtain permits and licenses; Where to obtain tax information, and how to know if you are reading to start a business.

    SCORE is a national nonprofit organization that provides professional guidance and information that improves the success of America's existing and emerging small businesses.

    BCCC's Business and Industry Services and the Washington/Beaufort County Chamber of Commerce are the workshop sponsors.

    There is no charge to attend the workshop; however, seating is limited. During the Christmas and New Year's holidays, you may leave a message on the telephone answering machine and your telephone call will be returned.
