Fortified with the addition of 11 newcomers and anchored by the return of its leading scorer and rebounder from a year ago, the East Carolina men's basketball team will open practice for the 2019-20 campaign Saturday morning, less than 40 days from its season-opener November 5 against VMI.

The ECU women's basketball team held its first team practice of the 2019-20 season Friday afternoon inside the Smith-Williams Center. It was the first official practice in charge for first-year head coach Kim McNeill and her staff as the Pirates prepare for the season-opener on November 6.
