I am surely sorry about Mac, aka Bear, passing on from this temporal plane by the destructive effects of Covid. We surely had some good times together, and I have my stories (that I keep close to me), as most of his other friends rightly have some of the same.

My heart goes out to his wife Lou, his daughters Sarah and Beth, and his brother Arch, who was my contemporary. May God bless them all in their time of sorrow.

I was once a Washington Redskins (Oh, did I just type that?) fan, but now I am a Panthers fan.

I am glad I switched teams so that I would not have to endure this current indignity of identity.

I am, however, concerned about my new NFL team - the Panthers. Will they have to change their name next due to "appropriating" the word Panthers from the "venerable" and legendary Black Panthers of those salad days of the sixties and seventies?

One night, on FOX News, he was discussing derisively the women who wear the "pussy-hats", and my wife I rolled in disbelief and laughter.

I see now that it is true that North Carolina's Authoritarian Democratic Socialist Governor is demanding, by governor edict, that everyone must wear a mask everywhere they go.

I actually wear a mask if I go into another building where I spend time, but I do it because it makes sense to me. I will continue to do it until I decide not to ... Authoritarian Cooper does not control me.

Incidentally, Authoritarian Cooper has no constitutional or statutory authority to enforce his demand of you wearing a mask, although I wish you would. In fairness, Democratic Socialist Cooper will find few courts willing to punish you while he did parade his hypocritical, smiling dumbass down Raleigh's Blount Street arm-in-arm, and unmasked, with other dumbasses - anarchists and fascists all - who then later terrorized the downtown citizenry of your state capital and capitol's monuments for sport.

Wear a mask if you care about your fellow man, but do not do it because of Authoritarian Cooper - possibly North Carolina's most pathetic politician - insisting that you follow his arbitrary and capricious Authoritarian rules of malicious order.
