Commented on Democrat National Committee passes resolution to abolish ICE, give amnesty to illegal aliensCitizens and companies profit off illegal immigration through hiring and low wages.
Citizens use copious amounts of drugs funding cartels. Citizens and companies sell weapons to the cartels fueling illegal immigration ass people flee. Trump convinced you the brown people are at fault and it’s ok to treat them like sh!t because he is the most racist president post civil war. Tough love my friends

Commented on Democrat National Committee passes resolution to abolish ICE, give amnesty to illegal aliensThat might be the intention, but Minnesota showed how far this administration is willing to go. Fortunately, the push back was so strong it made a lot of people stop and think. ICE backed off and I suspect the midterms will determine their tactics over the next 2 years.
Deporting criminals is something we can all support. Shooting American citizens in the face is another.

Commented on Democrat National Committee passes resolution to abolish ICE, give amnesty to illegal aliensIt's a bit more complex than that. ICE is basically an untrained, masked secret police force, accountable to no one.
That has to end. My advice, both sides will have to find a way to meet in the middle.

Commented on India follows Trump's lead in rejecting the globalist climate crusade and "green energy"Again, we learn in 3rd grade that the earth, over time, warms and cools. No question. In high school we learn that since the industrial revolution humans began burning fossil fuels at an unprecedented rate. On planet earth 49 million barrels of oil are combusted per day. Everyday. Let that sink in.
Your notion that humans can burn this much fuel in a closed system without consequence is...misguided. And that is the flaw in your argument. You want to conclude the earth's heating and cooling is a natural cycle, it is, but you refuse to factor the obvious variables impacting the system. Don't feel bad, it happens all the time and is why the scientific method is more of a verb than a noun. it evolves as we get better at factoring in the variables.

I don't think Dr. F will go to jail.
From throwing a sandwich at the ICE officer to the 86-47 written in seashells to the reflecting pool damage caused by a no-bid contract and the all-important transgender issues which effect almost no one, this is all designed to make sure you don't notice the Northern Hemisphere is on fire, measles and explosive diarrhea are raging and after 10 year of MAGA government, we still have a sh!tty health care system, an out-of-control deficit, high prices and another endless war in the middle east. Don't get me started on Medicare and social security. By his own admission, the president earned 2 billion last year and is immune from the IRS. Let those facts sink in. Dr. F is the least of our problems.

You are wrong. C02 is a greenhouse gas. Pure fact. As for the rest of your argument:
Conditions on earth 40 million years ago were indeed very different than today. However, life on earth as we know it has developed during a long period of relative stability. That stability is being altered at an incredibly (in geologic terms) fast pace. The industrial revolution has warmed the earth. The natural heat sinks, forests & oceans, have absorbed all they can. Changes will accelerate. Humans will argue over our response to this phenomenon. My contention is that ignoring it for short term profit is the worst possible response and the most politically risky for any government. The second worst response is to blame Canada. (Ever wonder why these a-holes want to annex Canada and Greenland? Exploitation sure. But in addition, they see what's coming and know it's best not to tell you.)

CT- it is science. Simple science. Unfortunately, life on earth is a bit more complex than that 3rd grade lesson
By 7th grade we learn that there is a balance associated with the systems that sustain us. Ever heard the phrase "too much of anything isn't good"? It applies to this discussion. It's true, many species of plants can survive in in hotter climates with higher concentrations of C02 in the atmosphere, but life is a balancing act and human intervention has consequences. Burning fossil fuels at the current rate has the whole planet out of whack. It shows up in a variety of ways. Most noticeable are triple digit temps, wildfire (smoke) and changing weather patterns. There are countless more. Look, no one is going to die tomorrow but we as humans are in uncharted territory. Not sure I want to be guided by those offering up 3rd grade science lessons. If MAGA wants to stay relevant, they better get educated on the topic or voters will turn on them. Stupid is just not good policy.

If conservatives want to stay in power, like all elected officials do, they have to meet certain basic needs of their constituents. Some of those needs are economic such as affordability, jobs etc. but some are environmental. If the government can't deliver clean water, food and air, the public will demand change.
As summer temps soar, air quality degrades and fresh water is in short supply the public will take it out on someone. If MAGA wants to remain relevant, I would think addressing our shared environmental problems would be in their interest. Dig in all you want, but it just shortens the time the rest of us will put up with a party that fails to meet the basic needs of its citizens. Time will tell.

Don't expect to change any minds on this chat board. I just want the satisfaction of watching the expression on your faces as human existence on planet earth is pushed to the brink. We are almost there.
The sooner MAGA gets voted out, the better. A few more degrees, a lot less fresh water and tons of wildfire smoke will get it done. Cheers

Look, I get it. Most of you are terrified of the power going off and the A/C shutting down but going all in on fossil fuels is a short-term fix.
1/3 of the country has an AQI over 300. Again. The American SW is becoming unlivable due to heat and lack of water. We will make it through, but our kids and grandkids are gonna hate us. Stay cool

How about now. Hot enough? A/C makes it tolerable however if you want to get a feel for it, turn the a/C off for one week. Hell, one day. At least half of you would end up in the ER.
Seriously the planet is on fire. At some point the people will revolt and hold those in power in both parties responsible. Not that it will matter.
