Commented on Carbon dioxide doesn't cause warmingListen to the renowned scientitsts interviewed in that British TV documentary linked below. They conclusively show that CO2 has nothing to do with warming. They also point out that the main greenhouse gas is water vapor, and that CO2 is a very minor greenhouse gas. Listen to the real science in that documentary, not the pseudo-science and political science of the climate cult, the biggest doomsday cult in history. It is all in that documentary and it rips your political theory to shreds. Computer modelling can produce any result the person that sets up the modeal wants it to, and the carbon cult is based on computer modelling, which ought to be called digital alchemy.
A Swedish physicist came up with the CO2 global warming thory in the 1890s and it got no traction and was discredited in science until some government leaders with political objectives put money out to promote research on it in the 1980s, and that government rewearch money had predictable results. As the former president and prime minister of the Czech Republic, Dr. Vaclav Klaus has said, climate alarmism is "a budding totalitarian ideology that is the greatest threat to freedom, democracy, and prosperity in the world today." Read President Klaus' book "Blue Planet in Green Shackles: What is in Jeopardy, Climate or Freedom?" which has now been published in eight languages if you want to learn more about this climate scam.

Anyone trying to overthrow the government would surely have brought guns along. The J6 rioters did not. They were very wrong to enter the Capitol but saying they were trying to overthrow the govrnment is just absurd. The J6 rioters were also not supporting war criminals and terrorists like the recent pro-Hamas rioters were. The chant "by any means necessary" supported horrific war crimes against women and children.
Those who support terrorism and war crimes should be treated the same as those who commit them. Deportation and criminal charges would have been well justified.

Commented on Carbon dioxide doesn't cause warmingThis issue is dealt with extensively in the British TV documentary "The Great Global Warming Swindle" that was broadcast nationally on the UK's Channel 4. Increases in CO2 in the atmosphere do not precede warming periods, but instead follow them by several hundreds years, meaning that more CO2 is a result of warming, not a cause of it. That documentary debunks the whole climate alarmist hoax using prominent scientists to debunk them. It can be watched at: www.youtube.com

Little Bobbie, you just don't get it about telling both sides. Breitbart, a conservative news source publishes attacks on conseratives by liberal politicians, both Democrat and RINO and liberal media. PBS, a flaming liberal source does NOT publish attacks on liberals by conservatives. It is all about your willingness to publish attacks by the OTHER side on your own side. Breitbart does that but PBS does not.

They died from the Covid VACCINE, not from Covid itself, and one fourth of Americans personally know someone who died from the VACCINE. That is what a poll by a liberal organization has found.
There were statistics released last year in Taiwan, which is strict about recording Covid deaths as only those FROM Covid rather than including those who died WITH Covid, that showed that they had had slightly more people die from the Covid vaccine than from Covid itself. I have not seen an update on that.

Real journalism until recently was about telling both sides of a story, not advocating for one side. Then many journalistic institutions embraced what they called "advocacy journalism" which was all about promoting one side, and that is rampant in American media today, and NPR is the worst of the worst in that regard.
The left regards "truth" as anything consistent with their narrative, whether it is factually true or not. Hannity like to play a clip of Biden saying "we support truth over facts." They regard anything not consistent with their narrative as "misinformation, disinformation, or malinformation". The last one by their own definition is information that is factually true, just inconvenient for the government. There has been some of this bias in journalism in America for a long time. One remembers the quote from Mark Twain that "those who do not read newspapers are uninformed, but those who read them are misinformed". Much, but not all, of the British media, especially the print media, does a much better job of presenting both sides of an issue, which is why I like reading the British newspapers online. Their coverage, even of American news, is more complete than most of our own media.

Commented on Faith, family and freedomWe have three unelected bureaucrats in this county that have way too much power - the school superintendant, the county manager, and the city manager -- amd they all need to be cut down to size, at minimum, and even better replaced. The county manager rules due to an incredible weak county commission chairman who keeps lots of information from the full county commission. The school superintendant has not only a very eaak chairman, but a majority of the board are weak. The city manager is the flunky for Mayor Sadler, but may not even let Sadler know everything he is doing. Sadler, like Cheeseman, is a control freak. Our county would be a lot better off if all three of those bureaucrats were gone tomorrow.
The city does offer some strong candidates who will look out for the taxpayers such as Bobby Roberson, Tex Melton, and Gary Ceres. William Pitt and Lisa Peyton-Jones are also worth considering. Pitt stood up against Sadler's tax increase, and Jones at least talks right on those issues. But we need out elected officials to do their jobs and not let the unelected bureaucrats have control. -

Commented on Happy 100 Days of Non-ComplianceWhen a public official recognizes they have a conflict of interest, they have a responsibility to recuse themselves whether anyone else demands it or not. A Hyde County commissioner found that out the hard way when he was prosecuted for not recusing himself. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that if the government body you serve on is appropriating money to buy property from someone one that body that consitutes a conflict of interest for the public official involved. I keep hearing that Brooks can barely read or write but that is no excuse for this conflict of interest. Yes, he should at minimum give the money he received back.
Stan, I think your point is that if an elected official asks the board to recuse him, and they fail to do that, then even if they abstain, it will be counted as a yes vote. However, almost always when a public official states a conflict of interest, public bodies will allow them to stand aside on that vote. The failure of the public official to note his conflict of interest is an unethical act.

Seven women have accused Joe Biden of sexual assault, with the most damning being his former Senate staffer Tara Reade, who says Biden put his hand up her dress and penetrated her private parts with his finger, which is referred to as digital rape. This sexual attack on an employee who found it very unwelcome made this particularly egregious.
Then there is serial sexual molestor Al Gore. The leftwing Big Media just keeps covering up for lefties like Biden and Gore. There is a secret fund in Congress to pay off the victims of sexual assaults on congressional staff. It has been asked but never answered if Tara Reade got one of those payoffs.

This case seems to be one of those where a male accused of sexual misconduct was denied due process in the university proceedings and so is suing the university. There have been a number of hefty settlements in such cases. And real courts are much better at seeing everyone has a fair shake than these university kangaroo courts.

Cheeseman just puts bandaids on a cancer and hope it goes away, but it keeps happening. It happened south of the river. It happened at Washington High School. Now it has happened at the Early College High School. This cancer needs serious treatment, not Cheeseman's useless bandaids.
The BCS policy on curriculum specifically prohibits teaching certain things, but gender transition ideology is NOT one of those that is specifically prohibited. It should be. Cheeseman does not want to take any real action because it might hurt his resume for when he decides to try to move up to a larger, better paying school district. The board needs to push him on things like this because he has no incentive to do them on his own.

Commented on Insanity by the Beaufort County School BoardAn essential step for change in our schools is getting a solid curriculum, something that is totally under the control of elected local school board members. Unfortunately, too many of them want to bury their heads in the sand and lets others exercise that function and they just rubberstamp the result. That is a big part of what is wrong with our schools.
There are guidelines and recommendations from the state Board of Education, appointed by the governor, but that board is dominated by hard core leftists appointed by Governor Cooper and they are a big part of the problem. Weak minded local officials too often just follow their lead. Big textbook / curriculum companies tend to pander to the liberal states with their products, making them full of "woke". A few states have stood up at a state level and said "NO" to these companies and insisted on non-woke curricula. Florida is a champion in this and Texas has also made great strides. We need a school board that will take the bull by the horns on curricula. Our local board in the face of community opposition sidelined the "woke" Savvas social studies curriculum, but it is hard to tell what they are doing on that presently. Then they adopted the Bridges math curriculum which is not only Common Core but also packed with "woke". They claimed they would just not teach the Common Core part, but that was a lie because Common Core math assignments are coming home as homework. One was posted on this site. Yes, Gary, brainwashed new teachers from universities are a problem, but the bigger problem, which is totally under the control of elected school board members, is having a woke curriculum. We need action, not words on that. At present Cheeseman appoints the committees that recommend curricula. He has total control of that process. If he appoints too many younger teachers who have been recently indoctrinated in universities, then everyone should expect a "woke" result. Oh, and good luck in your city council race. Too many on the city council, like on the school board, are low energy people who just go with the flow. Sadler has his set of poodles on the city council just like Chesseman has his set of poodles on the school board. We need energetic and informed public officials who make up their own minds.

Commented on Insanity by the Beaufort County School BoardBeaufort County used to have community schools. Places like Pinetown and Old Ford had their own elementary schools. Chocowinity, Aurora, Bath, and Belhaven had their own high schools. The education students received in those days was a heck of a lot better than what they receive today. Now, our present superintendant is fixiated on building a monster elementary school in Washington, larger than many of those high schools used to be. I guess he thinks that will look good on his resume when he tries to move up the ladder by applying for jobs in larger school systems, but it is NOT good for the children here in Beaufort County.

Commented on The inappropriate instructional materials imbroglio shows how sloppy our school system is being runThe Beaufort County Schools have had numerous incidents of gender bender behavior and it keeps happening. Cheeseman is only going through the motions.
First, there was a male student south of the river that the school authorities allowed to change into girls clothing when he arrived at school and then change back when he left in the afternoon, hiding his fetish from his parents. Then last year there was an incident of a teacher at Washington High School bringing in a speaker on gender transition. Now we have the "Gender Unicorn" given out in the Early College High School program. What has Cheeseman done about that other than flap his gums? He won't tell us, and anyone who attended the meeting where this was discussed would know that. Cheeseman spoke extensively over someone at the Education First Alliance using an incorrect heading for the internet saying it was in Brunswick County (everything in the actual article said Beaufort County), but he gave no details as to what, if anything, he did to see that this did not happen again. One would expect him to obtain a signed agreement with the Community College that these things would not be allowed when high school students were in a class, but it is very doubtful if anything like that was done. I have looked at Beaufort County Schools policy on curriculum and while it prohibits a number of things being taught, radical gender theory is not prohibited. It certainly should be. If Chesseman really wanted to do something, putting that in county school policy would be among the first things, but he has failed to do so or to bring it before the board. Oh, and the school board chairman is a bad joke. He is Cheeseman's poodle, a total front man for the superintendant. The puppet strings are obvious.

Commented on The inappropriate instructional materials imbroglio shows how sloppy our school system is being runThis is not their first rodeo. Inappropriate radical gender theory material has been presented earlier at Washington High School, and now we have it at the Early College Program. Whatever Cheeseman claims to be doing to stop this is not working, and he is very vague about exactly what steps (if any) he really took on this latest incident. Parents need details to know that this inappropriate type of material has been conclusively dealth with. Better yet, we need a new superintendant who cares more about children than his own personal reputation.
