From personal experience the vitriol I regularly experience as a gay man is from extreme leftists that hate that I won't conform to their way of thinking, run as a regular candidate and not an LGBTWQWECJFHHJ candidate, and think independently ad do most gay people.

Commented on Happy 100 Days of Non-ComplianceThe way this changes is for everyone to get out and vote and vote early which is where they normally have the advantage. Get your friends to vote. If the Sadler machine is running even throughout early voting like they are now, they lose. It's that simple. Election Day voting will skew heavily against the Sadler backed machine candidates and Sadler himself but they normally win 2 to 1 during early voting. That's not happening right now. Get your family and friends to vote and spread the word and share this article everywhere you can. Washington's Tammany Hall can be defeated. They know they are in trouble which explains my missing 75+ signs, calls to Latino restraints telling owners I hate Hispanics, his despicable tactic of telling African American voters to pull up above the orange line where you cannot electioneering so they won't get a chance to talk to me or other non-Sadler candidates. Voting him out and the machine will be the way this has to go down.

The 147,000 is nothing compared to the transfer of $580,000 to the Housing Authority his wife heads, the additional $50,000 settlement and the pending lawsuits the mayor has triggered to keep poor people and affordable housing away from his house. His martini sipping supporters are trying to rally around him but I sense we have a shot to defeat his slate of recruits for City Council and Sadler himself.

Commented on Insanity by the Beaufort County School BoardIf we want real change in our schools I think we can all agree that it has to stop with the indoctrination at the universities and colleges. They are controlled almost entirely by far-leftists with political agendas so they are turning out some teachers that have been indoctrinated into thinking their role in life is to make good little political activists out of elementary, middle and high school students. Luckily I think that the vast majority of our local teachers have morals and values that withstood the indoctrination ... but not all. Fighting at the local level is important but is only treating the symptoms. The cure is to replace the administration and indoctrinating professors churning out political activist teachers.

I think Big Bob may have missed history class the days they were teaching about the Holocaust. I guess that for him history started with the "peaceful protests" that killed 154 people.

Commented on The inappropriate instructional materials imbroglio shows how sloppy our school system is being runThe school board in this instance has literally zero control over a rogue teacher that is employed by BCCC. The Early College students sign a waiver when they attend at BCCC to attend the classes. The rogue teacher is not employed by the Beaufort County School system and to my knowledge was actually fired for expousing extremist views. The issue here is with BCCC not the school board since they have no control over what teachers teach what classes at BCCC and students can choose electives there. Obviously this assignment, whether optional or not, is propaganda by a far-left teacher with an agenda. But once it was publicly known that she did so she was reprimanded and I know for a fact that Carolyn Walker called BCCC to condemn the distribution and contacted parents to inform them of what was going on. I'm not sure why she's under attack here. She did the right thing by making the members go on record as opposing this kind of indoctrination but the administration of BCCC is who the real attention should be put on. The teacher should be fired not just reprimanded. This was not the part of any curriculum. I attended this meeting and I have a different recollection of events as I observed Mrs. Walker make a strong statement against this kind of nonsense for students. I've also heard her condemn it previously. The attacks on her are absurd. I'm sorry if that conflicts with the views of people that I generally agree with but it is the truth and the truth is important. The anger here should be directed at BCCC. Our colleges are nothing more than indoctrination centers at this point but the school board has literally zero say on how BCCC disciplines rogue teachers.

Commented on How I see the Washington City Council CandidatesEillen, you aren't wrong. Most of the candidates simply have no issue positions at all which is shameful. My proposals (including actual ordinances I've written and want to see enacted) as well as my other views can be viewed on my website garyceres.com or you can e-mail any questions to me at ceresforcouncil@gmail.com and I'll answer as honestly and knowledgably as I can. Hope this helps.

I just want to comment that I think it's great that commissioner Deatherage and register of the Deeds Carolyn Garris are willing to meet together and come up with a solution. It speaks to both of your character. I also want to comment to Big Bob that I'm not a boomer so Boomers aren't the only ones that like paper.

This appears to be a conflict in the state statute. I just read the entire State Statute and it kind of contradicts itself in several areas and this is because the law was written a long time ago before all electronic and Internet devices had been created and is very vague in whether a hard copy is actually required. The language itself says filing system. I am a strong advocate of keeping hard copies since there are many reasons for doing so such as hacking, possible emps or electric failures, software issues, and the fact that we are a state where the first one to file has standing in court and it is more easily manipulated through electronic means then paper means. That stated if you read the actual statute it is up to the county to give direction to the register of deeds as to how to file the system properly according to their desires and to provide the funding and space to do so. The most logical conclusion is that the state needs to update the statute to be more specific as to whether we are referring to hard copies or simply a required filing system. If anyone would like to read the full statute here it is I'm not going to post the whole thing but you can look it up online and read it it's quite extensive with many different sections. Some sections seem to infer paper documentation While others make vague references to filing systems which courts have ruled can be electronic. Our laws should not be so vague. I think perhaps a meeting of the minds between the register of deeds and the County Commissioners could have some clarity and avoid any personalities being in conflict since the statute itself does seem to be rather vague and the problem seems to be with the state statute rather than with a particular office or local officials. The county should however make it a priority to have hard copies made and provide the space to store them since there are many reasons for doing so five of which I discussed with commissioner Deathrage today that make a lot of sense.
Relevant statute: §§ 161-12 through 161-13: Repealed by Session Laws 1973, c. 1027.

The fact is that Mr Brooks also made the motion to move $580,000 out of the Washington general fund over to the Housing Authority. He should have asked to be recuse himself which he did not which is incredibly unethical. The fact that he profited off of these Lots at the expense of taxpayers is shameful. It's also why I consider all the other candidates running to be competitors but I consider Mr Brooks to be an opponent although I've never actually had a conversation with Mr Brooks but anybody who abuses a position of power to profit monetarily should not hold on to that power.
I'll also note that it is now 78 days that the Washington Housing Authority whose commission is headed by Alice Sadler the mayor's wife whom he appointed has not complied with the Freedom of Information request I asked for receipts of trips taken by the Washington Housing Authority in the last few years as well as how the money was spent that Mr Brooks made the motion to move over to the Housing Authority as an alleged loan which has never been paid back and likely never will. The only way to correct this situation is to get a new Council.

Trump is coming for the Jews?!!! LMAO That is the most hysterically inaccurate and ridiculously stupid thing I've read in a very long time. It was Trump that moved the embassy to Jerusalem. It was Trump that got Israel and UAE to normalize relations. It was Trump that had the confidence of over 75% of the Israeli public in nearly every opinion poll in Israel. It is Trump that fought ISIS and eliminated it as a threat to every Jew and non-Jew on the planet. You can dislike Trump all you want but you can't make up a narrative and facts that don't exist.

Commented on Is it the Twilight Zone or Another Foggy Bottom? Not a Proud Boy supporter nor do I know anyone in the Proud Boys but Big Bob, you can't just make up facts. The Proud Boys leader (and I don't agree with their tactics nor some of their idealogy) is in fact a black Cuban American. A large percentage of the Proud Boys are gay conservatives and they do not have any requirements for Christian membership. So if you want any credibility at all please don't manufacture facts.

Can't get on board here. As a free-market capitalist I see no role at all for the government to prevent casino construction unless local communities object due to increased traffic or changing the nature and culture of their towns and cities. But if the residents want them, citizens want to use them, and casinos are willing to pay significant revenues that would otherwise come from increased taxes I have to object to big-government conservativism just as harshly as I do to big-government liberalism.

Since I'm a candidate myself I'm not going to speculate outloud whom I think the other candidate(s) in his hip pocket are but I will say that Mr. Brooks is 100% in the Mayor's pocket and is the one that benefits the most off his seat. I will also say that Mr. Pitt is not in the Mayor's pocket and has recently been targeted by the Mayor. He is also unaffiliated officially so they are not at all happy with him. I can also say unequivocally that myself, Leesa Jones and Andrew "Tex" Melton stand in strong opposition to the majority of the Sadler/Russell plans for the city.

I still don't care about the sexual habits of people and I think its a distraction from real issues like government overreach, suppression of religious rights, CRT being taught in schools, drag story hour for kids, increasing utility fees to cover up for utility rate increases in election years. If her husband is okay with her sleeping with 20 other guys in a day, that's their business. Nothing illegal about it. So non-issue for me is all I'm saying. Conservatives do ourselves a better service when we attack on issues.

Going to take the contrarian view of this. Who cares? What they did in their private life which wasn't illegal to make money is their business not mine. There is plenty to dislike about the policies of this person from unrestricted abortion til birth, gender reassignment surgery for children, taxes on everyone and everything to pay for every government project under the sun. I just really, really could care less that her and her husband had a porn channel.

Commented on What is going on with the School Board?Buzz ... I'm pretty sure from other comments I've seen from Bob that facts mean literally nothing to him. He "conceded" it depends on who you ask. What the hell does that mean? LOL He said and I quote "For academic year 2021-2022, no Black or African American students are attending Hillsdale College."
So I guess he doesn't consider African-Americans that choose to attend Hillsdale college to be people.
