Berger has strongarmed Roy Cooper's key issues, all of which are liberal, through the legislature, including allowing men into womens restrooms and locker rooms, the Green New Deal, Obamacare Medicaid expansion, and the NCInnovation slush fund. Phil Berger is at least as bad as Thom Tillis. Berger openly endorsed a liberal Democrat judge in a competitive district last election.
Berger has endorsed Mark Robinson for governor and embedded a liberal consultant associated with Berger, who is from Chapel Hill, Jim Blaine, in Robinson's campaign. Berger is also pushing a bunch of less than conservative candidates for various Council of State offices. He is also pushing Bob Brinson for state senate in this district. JUST SAY NO to Phil Berger by voting against his candidates. Remember, Berger was the one responsible for gerrymandering Bill Cook out of his senate seat by sticking Beaufort County in a majority black district. They all dance on Chesseman's puppet strings. Beaufort County deserves better. Two districts even offer a choice of two solid challengers each running against Cheeseman's henchmen. If you don't like the conservative the PAC is running, go with the other conservative. Just make a change. For too long, the tail (superintendant) has wagged the dog (school board) and that needs to change. This year's set of incumbents have failed miserably and need to be replaced.

One has to look at school policies and how board members vote on them. Curriculum is huge right now all over the country, as parents reject the public school establishment's woke curriculum. All three Republican candidates for governor have made fighting these woke curricula an issue, and all three are challenging the public school establishment. The nominal Republican school board members who are up for election this year are way out of step with the Republicans running for governor. Ditto all of the Republicans running for Lieutenant Governor who I have seen take a stand on education. They are also out of step with the leading Republican candidates for president.
On the other hand, the three conservatives elected to the school board last election are right in tune with our GOP candidates for these statewide and national offices.

Bill Kristol, the liberal Republican who was behind the effort to unseat our longtime conservative Congressman Walter Jones, has now endorsed Haley, and that is just one more reason to work hard to see that she gets neither spot on the national ticket. Kristol is bad news and so is Haley.
There is also polling out showing that liberal Democrats are switching parties to vote for Haley in the Iowa caucuses. Over a third of those who plan to vote for her are people who identify as Democrats, while only a minority of her supporters identify as Republicans We do not need to let these interlopers interfere in our nomination process.
