Stan: it never is funny when the joke is at the expense of someone you idolize, everyone can make a joke at someone else's expense but the true test of one's self is being able to look introspectively and laugh at a joke made about you or your heroes. This is where conservatives struggle with humor, and where libertarians amd liberals don't, Conservatives can't make fun of themselves they can only punch down.

Conservatives have never been able to take a joke, they've been trying to get SNL canceled since the first season. Reagan is the only Conservative politician that didn't cry when he was teased.

Congratulations. As a retired employee of the NC Board of Nursing, just wanted to say JOB WELL DONE to the staff of the Nursing Program. I have recently moved to Washington and so proud of the nursing program. Again congratulations.

We the seniors of every town are always pushed under the rugs. The city council and lots of people don’t think. If is was not for the seniors they wouldn’t be here. We need to stand up and have a voice within the town and the town meetings. I’m new in this town, this is just an example of all towns. So proud of the seniors here. Hope to see all of you soon as a new participant. Thank you for letting me have my say.

The NC Legislature has long been the handmaiden of Big Health or Big Medicine. It has consistently voted against NC citizens and for insurers and large hospital systems. Interesting that the postcard says "cut government red tape" while the DHS is asking for more money to accommodate more Medicaid recipients. And the Legislature, DHS and Big Medicine have all studiously avoided addressing the $1 Billion in fraud in NC Medicaid. Only the taxpayers suffer.

You can tell a lot about someone by their ability to take a joke. Every other US president since the show started has had jokes made about them. Only Trump and his weird cult are such hypersensitive pansies that they cannot handle it. Every despot and wannabe despot is the same, can't joke about Putin, Kim Jong, Xi etc either.

Goodwin and his Democrat predecessors have screwed the east by allowing computer modelling to be used to determine risk instead of using real actual honest data. Computer models can spit our any result that one programs them for. Computer models should be banned by statute from use in rate setting.

I will probably vote Libertarian in this race, and it is because Forest is constantly draping himself around Mike Huckabee. When he ran for president, Huckabee was described by the conservative Club for Growth as a ''Christian socialist''. The Club for Growth is some of the best Reagan conservatives out there. The major conservative website RedState in this election cycle has hung a similar term on him. This election cycle, Huckabee has been out consistently endorsing the establishment candidates in the key establishment vs. Tea Party races. As a Tea Partier, I have a hard time voting for any candidate who closely associates himself with Huckabee. Forest has duped a lot of Tea Partiers, but his palling around with Mr. Anti- Tea Party of 2012, Mike Huckabee shows he is either clueless or a phony.

The NRA is not a conservative organization. Indeed it is more an incumbent protection society that a 2nd Amendment organization. It has a very long history of prostituting itself to incumbents and insiders. The real defender of the 2nd Amendment is Gun Owners of America and its NC affiliate, Grassroots North Carolina. You can belive their endorsements, but not NRA's. NRA even came close to endorsing Harry Reid last election.
