Kamala Harris Visits Brittney Griner To Lock Her Up On Marijuana Charges | Eastern North Carolina Now

Publisher's note: This post appears here on BCN with the expressed permission of the Babylon Bee - friends that can find your funny bone in a very dark room.

This post revisited, created by the Babylon Bee, was first posted on December 14, 2022, and, NOW, is moved forward to this present day due to its recent publication; where it, most importantly, enjoys a high volume of unique views ... respectfully concluding that this post is either funny, entertaining or informative ... or conditionally all three ... enjoy it again, or for the first time, should that be a refinement within your nature to do so.

SAN ANTONIO, TX     Vice President Kamala Harris recently visited the home of WNBA star Brittney Griner to welcome her back to the US after her release from a Russian prison. After greeting Griner with a hug, Harris slapped handcuffs on her and tossed her into the back of a waiting police cruiser.

"Well, that's another dangerous drug offender off the streets," exclaimed Harris to a shocked crowd. "I locked up over 1,900 black people for nonviolent marijuana offenses during my career as the San Francisco district attorney. I've got to tell you, it feels great to be back in the saddle again!"

Harris went on to explain how important it was for the Biden administration to bring Griner home. "The United States has built the finest prisons in the world for the benefit of our pot-smoking black citizens," Harris said. "There's no way we could let one of our own languish in a subpar Russian prison instead of here at home, in jail, where she belongs!"

Fans of the WNBA were saddened by the news but said they are looking forward to seeing Griner play in the upcoming California Women's Prison Basketball League. "It will be nice to have a non-trans woman who can dunk for once," said inmate Shirley Jenkins.

At publishing time, LeBron James was spotted sifting through his trash to dig out the "Free Brittney Griner" t-shirt he threw away last week.

Don't know who Harris thinks she is. Maybe she should worry more about illegals coming across that is her job. What has she done about that. Harris and Biden don't deserve to even think about running nothing. People hate Harris and she deserves all the hate in the world.

She knew better just because she a NBA star.

I am glad she's home and fine. They did a great job getting her home, but still she broke the law, and like everybody else, has to do the time.

Brittney Grinder, in spite of her notoriety, not only used, but transported an illegal substance into a foreign country. Recently, US societal norms accepts this as normal behavior, however, other countries do not share these American views.

What she did, exhausted American diplomatic and financial resources and she must bear the consequences. Whatever the final outcome of her legal woes are, she is lucky, she was not lost in the shuffle of the present deteriorating conditions that presently exists with the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

I have lost all respect for Kamala Harris & faith in our government.

BG HAS PAID DEARLY FOR HER MISTAKE in Russia and because of her being who she is, a POSITIVE ROLL MODEL FOR MANY, INCLUDING MYSELF.

This is just another move by Harris and the Biden administration. That continues to show there ignorance. These people shouldn't be in charge of water at a football game, and they are running this country.

It's ridiculous, appalling that our Government would bring home Griner only to throw her in jail, instead of bringing a Soldier who defended our country, who is in a Russian Prison. Why serve our country when our Government doesn't care about our soldiers. The Biden administration makes me sick!

No William, this is not Fake News; it is not news at all. It is satire.

She didn't commit a crime in the U.S. this is fake news!

Just because she was brought home doesn't mean that her crime goes unpunished. I believe that weed should be legal everywhere; however, it is not. Whether it's here or in Russia ... she must do her time.

It has immediately come to my attention, yet again, to remind Eastern North Carolina NOW's readers that the Babylon Bee is strictly satire; in other words, it is meant to be humorous.

Some of you are not getting that, so I make mention of The Babylon Bee's purpose for your benefit.

In the case of Kamala Harris, the humor is that she made it a political chore to prosecute hard marijuana users when she was AG in California, now she brags about smoking it ... it is called hypocrisy, and mixed with great satire, some of us find it funny.

This is why we publish The Babylon Bee.
