Commented On Clarion Call with Stan Deatherage; Season 1 - Episode 1 (Discussion of the 45th President)
Reading the forum topics, I was once again convinced that there is no limit to creativity and the desire for comfort. Everyone shares tips, tells you how to cope with difficulties, speed up household processes, and improve the space around you. It is important not to focus on standard schemes, but to look for new approaches to solving familiar tasks, because it is creativity that often leads to unexpected but beneficial results. For example, tips on storage, organization of space, choice of materials and equipment — all this looks like a small mosaic that adds up to a picture of an ideal lifestyle.
But no cozy environment, even with the most modern solutions, will be complete without a reliable water supply. This raises the question of the well, because it is its own water source that often becomes the answer to the challenges of the time, rising tariffs, and interruptions of centralized networks. This is a sustainable solution for those who value stability and care about the fut |

Your a fool that has the Rx lobby in your pockets, marijuana is not a drug nor is it dangerous, the adults that you speak of didn’t make the decisions to get on heroin ecstasy acid, or any other drug for that matter because of marijuana. Commented On Another Political Campaign Begins
Mr. Hudson. Thank you for a respectful and pointed critique. This is a comment I can reasonably respond to. I do remember your many remarks you gave in defense of our school and am very grateful for them. My issue arises from what I believe the spirit of many of the comments were, provocative without any plan of action. The issue that I voiced to both members of the school board, the superintendent and those (like me) opposed to closing the was as follows: Why have we let it get to this point? There were rumors about Snowden closing for nearly a decade, we all knew that the standard was dropping and students were leaving, but people did not act until it was too late, and I include myself in the group. A woman at our meeting in Aurora summed it up perfectly, in my opinion, why were we not up in arms sooner? I respect your opinion that I feel below the mark, and I regret to admit you are probably right publicly. However, in private meetings with many people, I asked for any alternatives.

Commented On Another Political Campaign Begins
Sir. As I stated, I am a junior in college, and like many students, I remain a dependent of family. I split my time between my home in Aurora for most of the week and class days in Greenville at school, again as many students do, including Republican State Representative Wyatt Gable and newly elected conservative Greenville city councilman Seth Hardee. I'm also not sure what you mean by a real job. As I said, I worked full-time while attending school, playing sports, and being engaged in my community. I also stated clearly that I did not feel a politically driven stump speech would do people who were angry and grieving any good. You cannot make decisions based on emotion, but on facts alone, and riling up a crowd of people I love and care for would have been counterproductive. It is apparent, sir, that you have no desire to discuss policy or strategy but only degrade me personally. That is disappointing as I think you asked reasonable and genuine questions in your first response. Best.

Cont. from comment 1: Many in my community have reached out to me and were simply not satisfied with Mr. Hickman's leadership. They felt that this was not an overnight problem and that he did not do enough in his first two years on the board to help prevent the eventual result. Now to my youth. We have seen across the country a passing of the torch and an influx of youth into both parties. This should not be feared but celebrated, especially in the conservative movement. Students have been elected to statewide and municipal offices across the state. I would be the closest removed from Primary and Secondary education on the board, able to understand more closely the struggles that students and teachers alike are dealing with. I think this is a very positive trait to have. In further comments or communications, I can go more in-depth on my views and goals. They are simply too much for this thread. God Bless.

This town ain't wuffa sheet.
The bureaucracy is going to rally behind whichever gestapo groups will back them. This Govt is not here for us. It's here for itself. Perreault tells us we should be grateful to the employees. Well I say they don't work for us, they work for the CityManager. It's a sad day in the world if we now have to give thanks & bonus points to someone who does the RightThing, over the lazy/selfish/biased thing. I expect excellence! |

The City of Washington’s Board of Adjustment has revoked the special use permit for the Ell Hotel, owned by Mayor Ellen Brabo, citing zoning violations.
www.witn.com It would be nice if the Board of Adjustment was consistant about enforcing Zoning Regs in Washington. They recently approved a City landfill in an Airport District. They also approved a waste site in a city residential area operated by a business. It appears they are just rubber stamps for the Planning Dept. In Washington, its not what...but WHO you are that matters. |

Commented On Beaufort County Republican Executive Committee Chaos
Are elected officials like Garris allowed to hold office on this executive committee? This Kidwell character is allowed to bloviate past his allotted times adding little substance while bullying his way through meetings like a bull in a china shop!
It’s time for him to go like Tillis or better yet just change your party affiliation from RINO to democRAT. Anyone dissenting or questioning, especially Richardson appears to be ignored and stifled in their objections to seemingly parliamentary misdemeanors that are in fact serious transgressions of board etiquette. Additionally, your committee leader Garris along with ex-officio member Kidwell appear to be attempting to ignore and burry a serious lawsuit. My recommendation is that real Republicans resign and disown this organization if serious changes are not made especially before their liability is brought the court through this lawsuit. |

Wow, Hood sure has Ms Garris in his head. I reached out to her to recommend a law firm for a consult for a defamation, slander, libel lawsuit. According to the State Board of Elections, your club no longer exists but you are still raising money. That’s a big no no. The only people you oppose are republicans. Makes you wonder…you are also being monitored.

Let’s check your vetting record. One candidate you recruited went to file to run for school board and wasn’t a registered Republican. He had to run as an unaffiliated. The other candidate you recruited to run for school board was not even registered to vote. She had to register before she could file. There is more but I think you get the point.

Commented On What's all the chatter about?
I have a genuine question - how can we possibly entertain lowering property taxes when the 2023 - 2024 audit report indicated that the General Fund had to take $1.4M from the Electric Fund? Granted, the 2024 - 2025 audit report has not been released to the public, but I don't expect the transfer to be much different.
That is quite a shortfall to overcome while still cutting General Fund revenues. Especially considering the fact that our City already experiences frequent power outages. It seems to me that the Electric Fund could use all the help it can get. |

Concerned Taxpayer, it will be interesting to see the audit report if that is truly the case. Reconciling the bank accounts is one of the most basic accounting functions. To not even know how much cash the City has would mean a lot more was done than shredding documents. I am also curious to know who in the Finance Department you think is unqualified. I've always heard good things about Tammy Swindell's abilities. Martin Starnes is also a reputable governmental auditor. Are you suggesting that issues started in FYE25, or do you think there is a continuing "mess" that they have missed or ignored?
If nefarious things are occurring in the Finance Department to the extent that you seem to be suggesting, I would expect to see significant findings in the audit report, as well as criminal charges. The actions that you are suggesting are fraudulent. |

I am a citizen who spent years auditing municipalities. You do not have to have a completed audit report to know how much money the City has or spent in the previous fiscal year. The City is required to maintain its books "free of material misstatement". In fact, the state forbids auditors from making substantial changes to a municipality's books without a corresponding "write-up". If a city does not have staff capable of maintaining its books, then they typically hire an outside firm to make sure that balances are reasonable. Either way, the auditor will make minimal changes to the City's financial data, if any.
Everything you need to know is held within the City's accounting system. Including how much money was spent, budget to actual comparisons, cash balances, debt balances, and fund balances. With that information, you can certainly pass a budget. Either you don't understand governmental accounting or you are purposefully misleading citizens. I'm not sure which worries me more |

The Conservative Club is not a recognized affiliate organization of the Republican National Committee or State Party; therefore, it does not have standing within the party structure. The State Plan of Organization and the Beaufort County GOP Plan of Organization grant the Chairman the discretion to call meetings.

Y'all are a hoot. Most of you are responding to yourselves. Many of you have never participated in the local Republican Party. Some of you on the local committee have only attended a few meetings. There is the problem...you are not builders, just destroyers. I know you do not volunteer, help raise money, attend events, or get Republicans elected. Let's face it, you did not support the most conservative candidate on the ballot. You call yourselves the conservative club or citizens for better government? I think not. Quit hating on the Republicans who put in the hours and do the work to get solid Republicans elected. They are not going to stop. Stop the hate and get to work.

Commented On Big Ag PAC pushing Armstrong tied to group that tried to put NC shrimpers out of business
The Marine and Estuary “Foundation” is a lobbying group started by Chuck Fuller, longtime Raleigh proponent of banning shrimping. The “foundation” pays lobbyists out of another shell org call NC Sound Economy, and BOTH receive funds from the CCA! The CCA said the bill was “not their idea” but in reality they were the ones funding these shell “foundations” to kill sprinkling and defeat Keith Kidwell and fund opposition to Destin Hall’s NC House Caucus that voted to stop the ban. It’s clear that this is an effort to flip the NC House blue, kill Keith Kidwell and Destin Hall’s agenda that PROTECTS OUR FISHERIES. We need someone to take a hard look at this Raleigh based group that creates shell orgs to destroy coastal communities
