Commented On Some Refreshing Change at School Board Meetings
Well, it was at least refreshing to see that Steve Rader corrected you on your statement that Daniel Hudson and myself was "trying to steal Steve Rader's fire" on suggesting we hire a local attorney. It was indeed Daniel Hudson who brought it before the board after he and I discussed this multiple times. Secondly, your comment that "I stated I would never vote for anyone other than Tharrington and Smith to represent the school board" is grossly incorrect. I stated I would not vote to remove them from retainer but voted to search for a local attorney to use on a day to day basis. Thirdly, your comment that CPS Principal was incorrect on stating that Snowden parents and students are completely happy at CPS, an "A" rated school, shows you haven't been at the school. I've visited the school at least 10 times since August and see how much these students are benefitting. Maybe try visiting the school yourself. Your readers deserve better or better yet watch the video themselves.

Thank you! I graduated WHS in 78'. I never heard of any prayer meetings back then. I learned to pray in 81' when The Lord drew me to Himself and saved me from my sins. God bless you in your ministry to our young people. So many bad things are available today. I appreciate you encouraging one of the best things in life: prayer to The God of Scripture in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Mother use to always tell us, if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all. The entire county should be growing weary of your megaphone. Will the batteries ever die?
What benefits come with your position as a county commissioner? Isn't your health insurance being covered by the tax payers a wonderful benefit? It's time for the people to bid farewell to everyone who's purposely and pettily undercutting the good people of Beaufort County. We the people have had just about enough of this ridiculous banter and the best way to make it go away is to make the mouth in the megaphone be quiet. Maybe we need a Katt Williams moment in eastern NC. Everyone needs to have several seats. |

Washingtonian, The thug-ocracy around Sadler and Tyre has made this town a pint-sized banana republic. Their goon squad sent to intimidate the customers and employees of Fritz' restaurant and then to go to Fritz' home in Smallwood to threaten his family was reprehensible. Their campaign on the internet to intimidate Joe Davis is reprehensible. It is still unclear what their approach to Perrault may be. They are trying to marginalize Brabo.
Citizens need to rally around the elected officials not subservient to Sadler and Tyre. We need an end to this era of dirty local politics. |

Commented On Reminder: Scheduled City Council Meeting
Someone posted that the pressure on Nick Fritz was a possible boycott of his business, It was worse, a lot worse. It reflects the thug-ocracy Washington lived under until last December and that wants to come back to power in the worst way.
What happened at Fritz' restaurant was that some thugs showed up to harass customers. They were big burly guys of the same ethnicity as Sadler and Tyre. At first they just hung out in front of the restaurant intimidating customers. Then they started coming inside, raising a ruckus, and harassing his employees as well as customers. What could Fritz do? If he took any action, they would undoubtedly scream "racism". Anything he did would hurt his business. Then, it got worse, the same thugs started threatening his family. No elected official signs up for that kind of treatment. The head thug now seems to have left town, probably using his intimidation tactics on someone else. Washington has lost one of its best council members in some time. |

I have real concerns about Rorie's record and I think the behavior described toward Mr. Roberson is inexcusable if accurate. But I'd also want to hear Perreault and Tyre's side before drawing final conclusions. Public officials deserve the chance to respond to allegations this serious, even when the allegations are from highly credible sources.
