150 words and you cant answer why JaQuill isn't likely to get the job interview due to his name, not his ability.
Its not a competition RH. CT is tough to beat but you work hard at it.

Our legislature specifically voted that none of our taxpayer money was to be used for these political lawsuits by the Attorney General, and he is brazenly defying our law in taking part in this lawsuit. He needs to be removed from office. We cannot have an AG who brazenly defies the law. Throw the bum OUT!

For the stupid one here, I will vote for Bobbie. He displays that almost daily.
The Los Angeles Fire Department is an example of how DEI works. Last year they hire their first lesbian fire chief. Now the top five people in the fire department - funny thing - are all lesbians. Were they the most qualified people for those jobs? Of course, not. I suspect DEI will be ended for good for two reasons. One is the Democrats got clobbered this election over their woke agenda. If they keep playing the woke card, they will keep losing. The other is the Constitution. Racial preferences go down the drain when challenged in court as recently happened to UNC and Harvard. The Trump administration's DOJ will permanently destroy DEI in the courts.

Executive orders aren't for good.
"Racial preferences are simply wrong, no matter what race is on the receiving end". - yet JaQuill wont get the job interview over James because of his name. You don't care about that, but you piss your pants at the thought of James not getting the interview. For clarity, I dont think the readers are stupid. Just you.

What is it with Democratic Socialist lawyers: Do they lose their patriotic zeal once elected, or are they always that way?

Bobbie, I don't know if your stupid or if you think readers here are stupid, but your comment is nonsense. DEI does a lot more than just assure someone an interview. Lets look at actual facts on how DEI impacted college admissions from supreme court cases on the subject, and lets even leave out your bugaboo about white people. The facts showed that under DEI admissions procedures, Asian-American students with much higher scores were being denied college adminission, while black students with lower scores were admitted. Racial preferences like that are totally un-American and un-Constitutional, and the supreme court disallowed them.
Wait until you see the Trump DOJ start going after corporations that play those racial preferences games. Why do you think so many of them are suddenly dumping DEI and ESG? Racial preferences are simply wrong, no matter what race is on the receiving end.

This birthright citizenship issue only relates to foreign citzens, not US citizens. The child of a US citizen is itself a US citizen due to the nationality of one or both of its parents, no matter where it is born. So why is this rotten state attorney general spending the money of US citizen taxpayers to go support the interests of foreign citizens? He is betraying the people who elected him.

DEI simply reminds the boss that excluding JaQuill, because of his name, which happens a lot, may not lead to the best candidate getting the job.

Because of the schizophrenic voting of North Carolina and Beaufort County citizens we have elected Trump to take care of this woke DEI junk at the federal level, but we are left at the mercy of it at home in places like Beaufort County Community College.

The left in their misinterpretation of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution want to ignore the key phrase "subject to the jurisdiction thereof". There is no absolute birthright citizenship. If one looks at the legislative history of the 14th amendment, which is necessary to understand its meaning, it's authors specifically did NOT intend for the amendment to grant unlimited birthright citizenship.
I am sure this issue will end up in the Supreme Court, and I suspect that the majoriy there will not ignore the legislative history of the 14th amendment or that key phrase "subject to the jurisdiction thereof".

Nothing wrong with merit. However when JaQuill can’t get an interview but James barely has to show up to get the job, please explain the merit in that?

This whole thing stinks about those four acres. Why was the school superintendant so incompetent to not know they did not own that track? Where in the world was their out of town attorney in all of this? In a multi-million dollar project like this, the attorney should have been riding herd on all of this, but since he was half way across the state, it appears he was NOT. Why was a professional appraisal not done? That school superintendant seems to think he is all-knowing but he has no training or experience in appraising commercial real estate. His just pulling a number out of the air based on how much money they had available to pay was as unprofessional as hell.

Bigot Bob does not want a merit system based on qualifications and ability. He wants a discriminatory system of racial preferences, that smacks of the same thing we had in Jim Crow. DEI and Jim Crow have another thing in common, they were both imposed on us by the Democrats.

Convicted? So were those charged in the Staiin Show Trials, which was a similar politicized kangaroo court. The jury pool is Washington, DC is extremely partisan and would not give a Republican defendant an even break in a politically charged prosecution, or for that matter give an honest prosecution to a Democrat.
That is why prosecutions of the Democrat hacks who have betrayed our immigration laws need to be charged and tried some place like rural Texas.

Jack Maggio wrote: "A more pressing concern is the suspicious timing of the four-acre property ownership change, which was close to the timing of the grant award. Why has that (NOT) been discussed by the commissioners?"
Because Jack, the 3 Conservative Commissioners were either not notified in open session, or otherwise; while, the 4 members of the voting block, known as the Center-Left Coalition, either had that information in private, or were given that information at the same time as the conservative Republicans (which I doubt), and deeply suspect that it was the former since two members of the Center-Left Coalition are married to school board members. As a county commissioner, I first try not to do what is ignorant. Spending 1/2 million dollar to buy land because the Durham based School Board attorney failed to conduct a simple title search is one big piece of the stupid tree; electing to spend 500,000.00 rather than trade 4 acres (of unused school property) in a swap, at no cost, is yet another bigger piece of that same stupid tree. After serving for 26 years in government, stupid politicians and their stupid bureaucrats are really starting to piss me off in a major way. We have seen what abject stupid governing has done to our Representative Republic over the last 4 years; much longer if you count the Non Patriot Democratic Socialist Lawfare in the first Trump term. Do we really want our local politicians to be equally stupid?

The opposition to building a new school with a $42 million state grant seems misguided to the growth of our community. While Beaufort County must contribute $10 million, the project is estimated to be under its $52 million budget. Other counties are moving forward with similar projects - Martin County is building a new high school and Washington County recently opened a K-12 school. Why should Beaufort County return this grant money and miss the opportunity to improve our infrastructure?
Having volunteered at Eastern Elementary, I've witnessed firsthand why replacement is necessary. I encourage those that oppose the building to spend a day reading to some of the children to experience the classrooms and the building for themselves. The concerns about cross-town busing are unfounded given the compact size of the city school district. Most Eastern Elementary students live nearby, and this commute is notably shorter than what high school students already manage with their extended schedules. A more pressing concern is the suspicious timing of the four-acre property ownership change, which was close to the timing of the grant award. Why has that been discussed by the commissioners?
