Where Mark Robinson wore out his welcome with me was with his failure to engage against the NC Green New Deal. A group of conservative energy and environmental experts briefed him in detail on the issue and its huge cost to business and electric ratepayers, Robinson said after the briefing that he did not want to get involved. This seemed to be his stance on a whole lot of issues, he was MIA.

Now however, when climate activist fanatic Josh Stein is the Democrat nominee, the best we can hope for is Mr. MIA Mark Robinson. With that pair as the only realistic choices, Robinson is the only game in town. North Carolina simply cannot afford Josh Stein.

This removal of our founding fathers from the local school curriculum policy has just happened. It would not have impacted what has been taught in past years or even this year, yet. When a liberal superintendant who has pushed liberal curriculum previously pushes this change through, one can only guess where he may try to go with it.

Beaufort County is now one of the few counties in the state, and perhaps the only county, not to have some requirement in local school board policy of teaching our founding principles as part of the curriculum. PUtting this in local policy is important because many school systems have a habit of not following state statute even when there is a reporting requirement to the legislature.

A good example of that is on teaching cursive writing which is also required by state statute, and county school systems are required to report they are doing it. A number have learned that they can just fail to report at all and nothing will happen. Others regularly report they are teaching cursive writing when in fact they are not. In Beaufort County Schools, they file reports saying they are teaching it, and some teachers do and some don't. Here in Beaufort County we have too many students graduating who cannot even sign their name even though they are supposed to be fluent in reading and writing in cursive before leaving elementary school under state statute.

It is because so many local school systems laugh at state staturory requirements that do not happen to be in favor at NCDPI. that it is essential that these requirements be placed in local policy.

This excuse for deleting this material came from the school board's very liberal Durham-based attorney, who was also interjecting other excuses to water down what the conservatives on the board were trying to do. One wonders why a majority-Republican school board in conservative Beaufort County would not hire a local attorney to represent them, and why go all the way to Durham. That is particularly true since their school board attorney is presently or has recently served as vice chairman of the Durham County Democratic Party, one of the most leftwing units of the Democrat Party in North Carolina.

Well, "True Republican", what do you think of this nominally Republican school board majority hiring a liberal Democrat Party activist from half way across the state as our local school board attorney? Hint: he was recommended by Superintendabt Cheeseman.

My high schooler can verify that Founding Principles are taught in BCS high schools. Also, I researched it and it is a requirement by NC General Statues. So I guess the board saw no need to include it in a local policy since it is required. It's called American History in high school. So you're wrong again but accuracy has never been a priority on this blog site.

A poll of North Carolina parents found that 71% expressed concern about political indoctrination in public school classrooms. This issue came up due to the woke agenda being pushed in the schools, which is mostly leftwing fiction instead of real history. The so-called 1619 Project is a good example, and its creator has even admitted it is not real history. That is the sort of thing the left wants to substitute for real history.

What the woke want to do with our history is the same thing Chairman Mao did with Chinese history. As George Orwell wrote: "The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history."

The biggest hate-fest I have ever seen was this year's Democrat National Convention. Instead of talking about their own policy proposals, they prefered to launch hate diatribes against Republicans. Bob seems to see things through the prism of leftist ideology and its absurd quirks.

My choice in this year's primary for governor, who I voted for and oontributed to was State Treasurer DAle Folwell, who has stood firm on a wide spectrum of issues for conservative principles. Mark Robinson was a disappointment as Lieutenant Governor due to his constant crawfishing and refusing to take stands on issues of concern to conservatives including the Green New Deal (HB951), the Obamacare Medicaid expansion, gun rights in the Constitutional Carry bill, and Berger's casino fantasy. I wanted a candidate I could depend on in dealing with major issues, and that was Folwell, not Robinson. However, when compared against ultra-liberal Josh Stein, then Robinson, in spite of his deficiencies, is the better choice. Somebody who is wishy-washy on policy is a better choice than a hard core lefty like Stein.

For elected officials, I always put records ahead of rhetoric, and that is where Robinson did not pass muster in this year's GOP primary, but where he is nonetheless the better choice against far lefty Stein.

If you’re saying that the founding fathers will not be discussed in social studies or history class in a BC schools then that would not be true.
My guess MAGA wants some fictional white fairy tale in place of a more objective view. The board said no. Panties got bunched.

MAGA headlines- you need an interpreter to figure them out

There is no hate involved in this. However, there is something you do not have. Good judgement. Abnormal behavior should not be taught from public institutions. They can meet off campus.

The Community College Board needs to examine its really bad judgement.

When Cheeseman's appointees gave the school board one curriculum to rubber stamp, they gave the board the Savvas social studies curriculum which was so "woke" that a standing room crowd of parents turned out to oppose it, scaring even Cheeseman's aliies on the schhol board so much that it was withdrawn. Then they produced the "woke" Bridges common core math curriculum, which Cheeseman's allies muscled through.

Cheeseman is a California liberal who is out of touch with eastern North Careolina parents. We need a school board which is no longer under his thumb.

So an African American spewing all that hate had nothing to do with it? Are you sure?

Be honest!

We ended up with Mark Robinson as our Lieutenant Governor because the 2020 primary for that office had two major candidates, Robinson, whose comments supporting gun rights at the Guilford County Commission had gone viral nationally, and former State Senator Andy Wells of Catawba County, who was in thick with the green energy grifters. Republicans voted on issues, not race, and it was gun rights vs. "green energy".

Most active Republicans I know of voted for Dale Folwell as our nominee as governor, as he had a much better record on a broad range of issues. Unfortunately, Robinson had much better name recogmition with voters overall, partly because the media tended to cover him more than Folwell.

For the record, I voted for and supported Robinson for Lt. Governor in 2020, and voted for, contributed to, and supported Dale Folwell for governor in 2024.

Kamala Harris is much worse than Biden on illegal immigration. She is personally committed to seeing illegal aliens overrun our country.

So how did you end up with MR?
Commented: Tuesday, September 24th, 2024 @ 9:39 am By: Big Bob
Bob seems to think all minorities should stay on the Democrat plantation, but the polls show an increasing number of them are wising up and moving to the GOP. Comparing the Trump economy and inflation with the Biden-Harris economy and inflation should be enough to get any thinking person off of the Democrat plantation.

You are the only racist on this board, Bobbie. Most of us see issues, not race. But, yeah, Hung Cao does rain on your socialist parade, doesn't he?

Throughout her career, Kamala Harris has been a screamin socialist on every issue, but is now trying to cover that up. My term for her would be "con artist".

WOKE doesn't even know what a woman is anymore. Tim Walz putting tampons in boys bathrooms. Men boxing against women in the Olympics? Biden and Harris trying to put boys into girls locker rooms and restrooms and on girls sports teams through hijacking Title IX by unlawful executive order?

As of yesterday, in every poll available, Stein is UP 7% to 10%.
MR WILL NOT win this battle.

I don't care how many stars he has.
He should have withdrawn. The $$$ battle at the nutrition business is fraud. That is not going away. The bookkeeping, record keeping, the falsified info about family members in the business is not going way.

MR is destroying the ticket. Down balloting needs STRONG support at the top.
Our Council of state is at risk

And the Gen Assemblly leadership (who support MR) are doing nothing.

MR is NOT a Jesse Helms. He can't offset. His only pushback is DENIAL.
Stein is running a Jesse-type campaign. I'll give him credit He is DESTROYING MR on the air and now tying MR to Trump.

The NC COP is a mighty weak party and are kowtowing to the dems (by choice or inactivity).

Jann, Mark isn't going to lose the election because of his sexual preferences. He is going to lose because you cant attack people like Mark does while embracing the Black Nazi. What gives his skippy a stiffy isn't the point. It's the hypocrisy. It's the hate. It's the self loathing. It's the psychological instability a man like him projects.

Hate does far more damage to the hater, than the hated.

Accepted fact.
Gay people exist
Gay people pay taxes.
Gay people have the same rights as you do.

The only thing distressing is that you think that kind of hate is normal.

This sounds like a movie that this board's resident race hustler troll ought to go see. Those women in the trailer talk just like he writes.
